I notice he didn't shut down the Tshimanga rumour though.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he was Vaughan’s replacement should he leave.

Know nowt of the kid but Google reads but that's the type of player I'd be really excited in bringing to the club. Not in isolation though which of course, Watt adds to that list. Working around seasoned pros like CD and LN, would add to his potential.

OK, you’re obviously extremely anti-McCall, and I’m certainly not going to “argue until proved otherwise” either as you put it.
In the meantime, why not get behind what the club are trying to do, you never know you might feel better for it.

ps Out of interest, give us a couple of names of who you’d liked to have seen appointed.

Agreed did a bit of research online, only small sample size but looked to have the right attributes. Young and moving up the leagues each season, could be a flop but could also be an Omar Bogle. Need a mix of youth and experience, we’ve probably to much experience from an age point of view up front, we need some legs up there as well.

The only time I have seen anything of Tshimanga was in the Harrogate v Borehamwood semi final. He stood out for me in a poor quality game. Very good movement. The winner Jack Diamond looked OK too.

Omar Bogle has only had any sort of sucsess at Solihull Motors and Grimsby Town, loaned out here and there now at ADO Den Haag a Dutch side, when he's moved up Cardiff & Wigan he's hardly scored.
Kabongo Tshimanga would be a gamble not played at any sort of level, it's to be hoped if Vaughan is leaving this lad is a replacement.

If we got this lad I’d be happy if he did similar, did well in league 2 which we’re in then sold on for over a million.

Not a rumour but Callum McFazdean has left Plymouth having becoming a Dad and wanting to stay more local to Sheffield. Promotion winner in last two seasons, versatile in that can play a left sided wing back or centre half. Could allow us to push Connor Wood forward as his supply is so good. Would definitely add quality to the squad imo

Yes unfortunatly I'm falling into the category of judging a player before seeing him, but then it's too late if he's not up to scratch.

    Women beater ?.

In October 2013, McFadzean was released on bail after being charged with two counts of assault and two counts of threatening behaviour after an incident in Sheffield city centre earlier the same month. McFadzean pleaded guilty to two charges of assault when his case came to court in November 2013, admitting to hitting one female friend and headbutting another while drunk. As a result, he was given a community order with 12 months' supervision.

I wouldn’t want him to replace Vaughan but I think he would be well worth a gamble to replace one of the other strikers

He did also get Motherwell to 2nd in the SPL, which was no mean feat

Didn't know about that Dave. In footballing terms, he is obviously offering something, but perhaps with questionable character. Alas, it won't matter anyway, Salford are allegedly making moves for him already....

He took them to a 3rd, 2nd and 2nd finish in his time there, as well as the semis of the Scottish cups, as well as winning manager of the year. But that’s still not good enough for some people!

In the conversation of judging a player before they play based off their previous form.... worth noting in the calendar year before he signed, Kurtis Guthrie scored 13 in 31 starts for a struggling Stevenage in our division. Which is a way better goal return that anyone in our squads previous 12 months before signing for us, and he has seemingly been written off by the fan base after 92 uneventful minutes in a city shirt. Didn't help he looked woeful, but just shows going off what a player does elsewhere wont necessarily show how he will fit into our tactic.

Guthrie's 13 in 31 for a poor 4th tier team gives him an average of a goal every 2.38 starts
Tshmanga's 19 in 37 starts for a succeeding 5th tier team gives him and average of a goal every 1.95 starts

Not a million miles apart when considering Boreham Wood were creating and scoring way more per game with 55 goals in 37 games through the team, compared to Stevenage they had only scored 21 goals between the squad in 30 games, Guthrie was top scorer with 5.
