    Wow this is a joke!

So basically like that Micky mouse league in Scotland we are allowing clubs to see if they want to change the format of the league?

Why on earth have a head of the EFL?

It's embarrassing this! Just come out and say this is happening no matter what like what happened in Spain and if you don't like it then tough!

League 1 and 2 are becoming a joke in world football. Shameful

I think David Baldwin is due at the EFL anytime. That will bring some pragmatism to play.

Problem I have is that they didn't even try the leagues.

The PL, Championship other leagues around the world tried to finish but these just quit.

Here Holloway kick off saying clubs will go bust by September if future plans are not organised now and he's right. Says Grimsby would go under and they have a rich backer.

The lack of direction is embarrassing. Just say promotion and relegation is happening. We want fans back in some capacity come September/October and next season will start on this date. We will be sourcing testing and taking to the government about how lower league players can get testing so it's not expensive outlay for the clubs.. done! However it's pointless meeting after meeting that's putting clubs in more danger.

    It is.

I hope that the PFA and the EFL is looking for ways to support players as their contacts end. Realistically, in the short term, a lot of footballer's careers are now over. Psychologically that is going to be very difficult.

I'll be honest, I don't want to lose City or the lower league. But, I can't see myself sitting down and watching crowdless football on TV.

I don't know where we go from here.

So with Grimsby's Ian Holloway saying league 2 can't afford 146k, 9 game for testing plus McCall agreeing then league 2 clubs saying it's pointless unless fans are allowed in but @Dennis@Dennis makes some great points in the other thread about fans coming back, it's not just about how many fans allowed in but social distancing at the toilets, getting in answer out of the ground. City would have massive issues.

I'm not convinced league 2 returns next season. How are we going to pay for the testing?

I see just now over 5% of L2 play off club players tested have been positive. Just do promotion and relegation on PPG and get it over with until clean start with crowds in November as I keep forecasting.

Just not hearing anything from league 1 and 2.

If I heard what you are saying I would have more hope for the future. Something like:

" Lesgue 2 clubs count on crowd gates more than any league and playing behind closed doors really isn't a good solution. The league will be settled with PPG meaning these clubs go up--- and this club goes down-. We are in consistent talks with the government over getting the league back with crowds and if that's in October or November then it will have to be then"

I don't know something like that but talking about salary caps etc as a fan I don't care. I just want to find out when football is returning and how due to the cost of testing.

In terms of the testing I know in the PL thar certain clubs even do the players weekly or daily shopping. They don't want the player or the household going to the supermarkets to avoid catching covid 19. Can League 2 clubs afford to do that? Plus the testing up to 60 people per club now and household. If testing is around in September, October and November then how can league 2 afford to do all that.

I think regional works for next season. Less travel, less expense, bigger crowds as more derbies. Financially and for safety purposes makes sense (I do see fans returning probably early next year).

    North
    Barrow
    Bolton
    Bradford
    Carlisle
    Grimsby
    Macclesfield
    Mansfield
    Morecambe
    Oldham
    Salford
    Scunthorpe
    Tranmere

I don't think you can argue with that 12. Rest can make up the South. I think Northampton would be the furthest North???

Me personally, If I'm not on the pop, I prefer to jump in the car on a whim and go watch the lads somewhere within 50 miles. I'm not one for going down to Exeter or Plymouth.

League two have already decided. It’s the efl dragging their heels for some unknown reason. Championship looks like a struggle to finish if you ask me. Charlton saying they won’t have enough players to complete the season as contracts end and they won’t sign on for longer

League 2 isn't decided now mate with the Macc situation.

Charlton have said they will finish the season but that may because PPG would send them down.

The Scottish league talking about a virtual season ticket for next season so you can watch all games in 20/21.. season to start in August.

While in England div 2 hasn't ended and no start date in sight.. joke!

I am really surprised you haven't yet released your solution to the EFL to assist them in resolving this issue.

If the EFL were to go to a North and South Divide then it would be 24 teams.

So a lot more teams in the Midlands. You seem to have left out teams like Crewe and Port Vale.

So there would be additional teams from League One.

What formula would you use for promotion/relegation?

I feel League 2 made a massive mistake in voting to end the season so early without seeing how the virus and other football matters will work out.

League 2 clubs are the dirt on your shoes and getting treated that way.
