Ground capacity 25136 so to nearest
    Kop = 7500, NW Corner = 2300, Midland 4500, JCT Main = 9000, TL Dallas = 2000.

By the Autumn its becoming clearer to me that this lockdown has to be in its end game. Much of the economy and life is going to have to learn to live with Covid19. Pretty much like we live with all manner of hazards every time we set foot out the door. Lets face it even in the best of times going into Bradford is risky !

So by Autumn expect that "social distancing" will have engrained itself into society aside from the usual stupid idiots. But I am sure we can work out for ourelves who and where they are and avoid them..

I am confident that for the new season limited crowds will return to Football Clubs at the lower levels - they have to economically anything other and its a complete wipe out for pretty much every club below the Championship.

How will we do this ?. Well I suggest the club goes ahead and offers season tickets. Lets assme that 12000 of us take up those tickets (but I believe it maybe no more than 10000). But lets stick with 12000. This would provide a timely cash boost for the club. We buy our ticket in good faith. But we do accepting that for a period only 6000 can attend any home game. This is on an alternate game basis. No away fans are allowed at any game. Only season ticket holders.

Keep in mind that "social distancing" will not look like it does now in the Autumn. Distancing will mean a metre apart. You will be able to meet others maintaining a distance. We will be instructed to only go into larger gatherings wearing a face mask. There will be no pubs or meeting places open around the ground.

On Match Day 1 6000 season ticket holder under ballot 1 are permitted to attend. The other 6000 are given free access to Match1. on Ifollow. This is reversed for Match2 when the other 6000 form the 'live audience"

Gates are thrown open well; and I mean well in advance. There are no on the day tickets ; no cash walk ups. Only the 6000 ballot1. season ticket holders. So gates are open from say 11:00AM. You can take your time nice and easy to the ground and file in orderly; maintain the metre distance and take up a seat in your ticket area. Lets take my area The Kop = 7500 seats but only 1800 would be available for occupation. So you file and take your seat leaving a metre round distance to the seats surrounding your "bubble". No ifs no buts we all help each other because we all want to watch City play. We use our common sense and file in up to 2:30.

Game kicks off before 6000 Season Ticket holders; socially distanced. No messing about if your identified as a Covidiot your Season Ticket is withdrawn. Use social distancing for trips to the loo; that is already engrained in us. No alcohol or food sales. Stewards oversee the sections of the ground that would be a quarter of their capacity. There is a small Police presence around the perimeter of the ground. Ramdom checks will be made for ballot tickets.

Before the game is over; the gates are opened in an agreed order. So the JCT 600 Main disperses first again respecting each other and distancing. Then the TL Dallas and so on. No one gets frustrated we are all there to watch City and accept this "temporary new norm" for football crowds. There would for instance no mass exodus at the rear of the Kop by the School steps !.

So thats the plan to get some of us in to at least one home game in two. Keep to Govt & Health guidelines; and get at least some funds into the club. If we cannot deliver on that plan for the benefit of Bradford City; the game and ourselves ? We are all a bunch of Covidiots and deserve this perguatary that had been carelessly heaped upon us

Lets start to look forward and get back to Valley Parade from this moment on.

I believe your calculations are flawed. I refer you to a similar post you made, on a different thread:

I'm a serial hugger at football, i'll hug any man/woman/child/dog when or if we ever score. Social distancing will not work at a sporting event, for me its a non starter.

aren’t those calculations using the current 2m distancing whereas this post starts by saying they can see it reduced to 1m which would greatly increase the number of seats available, by about 4 times as the space needed per person drops from 16 square metres down to 4 square metres.

    I agree.

Fair play to @BSABantam74@BSABantam74 for putting up a suggestion. However, as described, it sounds so sterile. I just can't see football with spectators taking place for a long time.

I'm sure I heard years and years ago that Sky could broadcast a game and you could view from ANY position inside the stadium.

Someone would be making a killing right now if they'd developed a way to do that with a minimum number of cameras. Imagine being able to watch a City game on your TV screen, from your seat number.

Surely, under the government's move to the 'new normal' social distancing becomes more important, not less so.

The technology exists. Last year I attended SXSW using a virtual reality headset. There were a few different viewing angles, but you were not able to pick and choose an exact position.

On the other hand, I've attended a couple of virtual conferences which offered a choice of many viewing positions.

Which reminds me, I'm off to the USA at 22:30 to attend a webinar.

Over time more people would end up watching the Man United games with the same technology.

Supporting your local team is about being there. Watching inferior football is not an option.

the actual distance seems to differ across the globe, 2m, 6ft, 1.5m, 1m. It wouldn’t surprise me if the number does not drop over time.

Hopefully, it will drop to zero, once (if) we can get an effective vaccine.

I knew those £20 priority tickets would be good value.
Alternatively just admit the 25 yearers. There’s only 700 of us. We can sit 3 seats apart and setup Facebook live for friends at home

To the "nay sayers" come up with a better plan ? Because we cannot carry on like this in anyway including lower tier football. The clubs need revenue; and that means you and I. So we either accept this plague that was needlessly festered on us by others. Or we get on with our lives and accept the risks like we do with a multitude of other risks around us every day. I firmly believe we can safely; and sensibly have fans back watching football in the Autumn. It is about using common sense; that or cowering behind doors for months ! ? years even ! ? Just letting time; life and the economy slide from us. We need to get back to doing the things we enjoy; back to family & friends and not dally with this wretched nothingness a moment longer.

I genuinely don't think crowds of any magnitude are going to happen.

Forget the FA and the government. People won't take the risks. Not necessarily for themselves but everyone knows someone who is higher risk so if its a choice between watching football/music or seeing your parents/grandparents then the decision is easy for a lot of people.

Plus the clubs need 100% revenue. Having 30% attendances will screw them even in the unlikely event they were possible.

Got to remember your average football fan and common sense can be miles apart. I'll give you an idea what we're up against. My wife works in a supermarket, shes been abused on a daily basis by shoppers, yes shoppers doing their weekly shop because they've been asked to do something as simple as follow a basic set social distancing rules. Yesterday stood at the front door showing customers the routes in and out she was forcibly pushed out of the way because a customer didn't like being told what to do.
And we're talking about trying to police potentially 1000s of fans at a football match. Part of me actually agrees with some of the points you make but it will be along time before you see supporters back at a game, theres too much risk involved.

Oh, I agree, but right now it would be immensely useful. If I can't get in, I'd love to watch the game from my seat.

A study over here has said we will have social distancing until a vaccine is found
