I would be prepared to renew my season ticket if it helps the club , behind closed doors or not STs are the lifeblood to keep money flowing into the club . I know some fans may not be in a position to do this for understandable reasons , but some will be .

Correct decision as no one as a clue how many games of next season fans will be able to attend
It would be nice to think we can all return for Boxing Day, but even that appears optimistic.

I wonder if SR has come to a decision to continue to fund the club in the meantime, or whether the start of going down the road of selling or even folding the club?

It would be nice to read a statement from him

City have the benefit of releasing 14 players on 30th June so our wage bill won’t be too bad.

No surprise, some people just realising the seriousness of the situation, as I have said before...no football is better than a bastardised form of football...

Unlikely we'll get to watch City in the stadium until 2021 :(
I hadn't renewed my ticket yet, didn't see the point with it being up in the air. Can see a few clubs such as Macclesfield and Oldham going bust. The lower leagues are going to be in big trouble after this.

Does anyone seriously think its possible to stage football on a Saturday and keep hundreds of thousands of fans under house arrest ? Theres literally a massed Army out there who would defy the lock out and just turn up at grounds and gather. Its a recipe for large scale riots the Police will be overwhelmed in no time.

The best idea is to allow fans into the ground but manage the numbers to match the social distancing guidelines. So for us that may mean using a quarter of our 24000 seats per game and allowing season ticket holders in on an alternate game basis. Open the gates from 10:00am to allow us to arrive leisurely and folk use their common sense. Leave at least three sests between us. But trying to put football fans under "house arrest" ? I would suggest the Authoroties "dont know" footbsll fans ! ?

I don't think fans would turn up mate. Clubs will still have a small amount of police at the ground.

Before the lockdown I would have agree with you but think must have shown that they would following the rules in this situation the world unfortunately finds itself in.

    Exactly
Fans will be more worried about paying utility bills than paying for season tickets as cheap as they are
We have a chairman/owner reportedly worth a good few million who won't be worried about that
It's his train set he makes the final decision time to stand up and make known whether he intends to fund his company through this or not

You'd be surprised how few seats there'd be with social distancing applied.

Been looking at this today and a 1400 seater venue went to about 120 seats. That was with a 2 metre distance 360 degrees around each seat. About 8.5% of the regular capacity.

Obviously every venue is different but apply that to VP and its about 2100 seats.

I've done some similar calculations and they're not much different to yours. Also, what happens when someone need to leave their seat and pass others. And people would have to arrive and leave in the correct order. It's just not practical.

It is difficult to see how social distancing could be applied to current grounds; they are just not designed for it.

Personally I would. We’ll struggle like most will, but I could see a Lawn and Rhodes taking it on the cheap if Rupp put us in admin. They both have their critics but they love the club, and wouldn’t say no if they got it for a £1. Or even someone like Gibb who has rent for years to come to lose, there are business men out there who either support the club or stand to lose something if we dissolved so them factors put us ahead of the Macclesfields and Oldhams of this world. There is also a third option of a business seeing more potential than we actually have, big stadium with a big fan base in a big city on the cheap, someone who likes football might think why not. We wil most likely have a lot of debt after this but so will every other club and contrary to what some think on here football clubs do survive even with big debts.
