I sent an email to Ticketing support about this query and was told in no uncertain terms (by email) that that was the date for renewals and no later, which I think is a bit off, not for me I might add I am a pensioner so working doesnt affect me, but I know of people that have been long standing members of BCFC,and have sat in their seats for years, through really bad times at the club, not like all the chancers that came when we went in the Premiership, and due to circumstance out of their control, are feeling the pinch financially through no work, not everyone is on furlough, and I think there should be a contingency plan for people finding it hard, football clubs are not the only ones finding times tough at the moment.

From what you've said, it doesn't sound like the club fully appreciates the impact of the crisis on individual fans, the lifeblood of the club, who may not have a job or whose businesses are just about hanging on. At the moment, fans have no idea whether the remainder of this season will be played out and if so over what period. The club's recent clichéd statement on the matter shed little light for the fans and whilst I understand that most of this is in other people's hands, we have no idea even what the club is potentially planning on. And as for next season, there is no assurance whatsoever that games will even be played in front of paying spectators or whether social distancing for some if not all will continue indefinitely. And against that background, does the club really expect the fans to buy next seasons' tickets by 31 May despite at that point few if any will have a clue what we will be paying for? Surely not.

I really hope that the person who responded to you hasn't thought through the implications and it doesn't reflect fully the club's position on next season's ST sales. But if it does, the club needs to get real!

I doubt the club would want me to point this out but if social distancing IS going to last to the end of the year then as a season ticket holder you could downgrade to a flexi card at £50, seeing as you are very unlikely to get a full season for 2020/21.

Until we have some clarity around next season and the shortcomings of this season, I won't be parting with my money. Unfortunately, football does not take priority in this environment and as such, is lower in my priorities. So if May 31st passes and the deadline, then so be it.

The two biggest clubs in the country..Liverpool and Utd have both said if fans can't get to the games by the end of the season..behind close door finish then they will get a refund. Also both have suspended season ticket sales.

I can't understand why Bradford can't put out a similar statement.

If the season does end behind closed doors it will cost Bradford around 500k in refunds.. if null and void looking over 1.5 m season tickets then refund sponsorship, advertising money etc because the season didn't happen. Could be looking at about 3m+

It's like they want fans to continue paying for season tickets when if this finish doesn't finish then how is next season going to happen? If you can't plan for 10 games then how you going too for 50/60 games?

So, are clubs using next seasons ticket money to pay back fans? Then say hope next season happens?

This season you can get away with. All season ticket holders get free ifollow but next season isn't happening certainly not with fans.

I said keep your money your pocket and I mean it. Next season doesn't happen if you can't find solutions for this.

I wonder whether Rupp would sell now for a cut price deal, if there are still people out there interested?

Maybe if we had a Baldwin and Mason within the club we would be aware of what is going on . All we are getting is a spokesperson trying to ease public relations.

Times like this mate you only should be hearing from the owner or CEO.

    So, yeah more than likely.

Completely ignoring the fact Ryan Sparks the club spokesman telling us today that the club are in a better position than most to ride this out. And yes @Fordy117@Fordy117 that is with cheap season tickets.

I've read what he said and think it's decent but times like this for me for CEO or owner should be talking to fans.

I'm not renewing anytime soon. It's like buying a scratch card at the moment, you know what you could get but you also know you could end up with nothing.

I'm not after money from the club. If the season doesn't finish, so be it. I just want clarity from the club in its proposals, current thinking and direction. The nominal amount ain't worth my effort considering the bigger picture.

In fact, I will say now if the club was to propose refunds of any amount, I would be more than happy to split such monies to DarbyRimmer/Burns unit.

That's good. Why don't you just give plenty of money own to Darby/Rimmer and the Burns Unit they need it more than Bradford City. Charities like this are getting over looked at this moment.

Rupp and Rhodes have money to look after the club.

Fans need to look after themselves at this moment in time.

Why can't BCFC just say that when a date is given to start next season, whatever the date, give supporters a couple of weeks prior to buy their season ticket, if they don't then that's up to them, by then quite a few folk will be back at work and earning again. I know it sounds simple but sure it would be fairer in the long run.
Actually knowing City it will probably take a month to get this up and running.

Would this work for next season...?

    1) You buy your seat for £50
    2) You then hand over £5 (cash) for very game you attend, no booking in advance, you have proof of your seat upon purchase
    3) Club gets £50 + 23 games at £5 = £165
    4) If season then interrupted you're only pay for games attended
    5) Price adjustments for suites and bantams bar

We are in strange times so the best option would be to say once we the club gets clarity from the EFL that fans will be allowed in grounds we will give 4 weeks before that game to renew ST, for every game not attended £6.52 equivalent of each game is taken off the price. Yes it's not ideal for the club financially but you can't expect anyone to pay the full price and get 3/4 of the product.

Sales suspended as the club await to hear more details about the end of this season and with it not looking more likely that if next season does start then it'll be behind closed doors. For anyone who has bought already a season ticket the club will endeavour to ensure those who have already purchased season tickets for the coming campaign will be able to view matches - FREE of charge - from home via iFollow if the season does start behind closed doors. If this is not preferred then refunds will become available at a later date.

Offer flexis that are upgradable to discount season ticket if bought in time. Everyone shells out £50 to keep their seat and gets cheaper day tickets. Club gets some money upfront. If season starts on time, fans can upgrade to season ticket at discount price for a small admin fee. If season does not start/club goes bust, then everyone has only lost £50 per seat. Not perfect but seems a reasonable compromise. Does not really affect those that have already paid for season tickets who have already put their money at risk, though most with sense likely paid by credit card.

Correct decision. Football is lower down in the priority for many including myself, when it comes to the pandemic and the economy.
