Following our 1-1 draw with barely-professional Macclesfield, we are now:

    - Winless In 5 in all competitions
    - On a run with 1 win in our last 7 matches in all competitions
    - Barely clinging on to a play off place now

Too early to panic or should we be concerned?

My gut feeling is that we rode our luck in the early part of the season, getting results when we weren’t necessarily playing too well, and now we are getting our just rewards.

My own take on it after 18 games? Well, today was another game typical of what i've seen all season. We don't get battered yet we never dominate the opposition. We create little in the way of chances yet opponents don't seem to either. We could easily finish in the top three or round the top of the bottom third about 14th or 15th. The worrying thing for me is the football we actually produce, at times its mind numbingly boring and looks devoid of quality. At this moment i'd take 7th, not because i would be happy with it but from what i'm seeing now staying in the playoffs would be a tall order.

We haven't played well all season. I think we will get out of this league but I don't think Bowyer is the man to take us further after that. His football is awful.

Jesus that was gash today - we only started playing when Bowyer changed it to 4 4 2 - tactically poor for me. We should be battering these teams, in my opinion at the moment we are mid table at best. We had a player that hadn’t played for nearly 2 years who was head and shoulders above anyone on the pitch for me. I hope Reeves keeps fit and focused because he could take us into top 7. Bowyer at this stage is 5 out of 10 for me. I don’t really want him to go, I just want him to grow some knackers

Most wins were by the odd goal.If we are top 3
potential we should be winning more comfortably.

I thought BRE had learnt his lesson with his earlier
sending off,his tackle today for the pen was reckless.

We need some target practise, very poor ratio of attempts
    on target.

Don't let the stats fool you, only two of those shots were inside the penalty box. The rest were just hopeful long range attempts.

People keep saying, like your good self here, that we are mid table at best. Yet, for all our injuries this Autumn, and not particulary dominating any teams, we have being in the top 7 nearly all season. I am confident we will stay in the top 7, if not finish in the top 3.

We do have a game in hand to some teams but currently sit seventh, that position to me is absolute bare minimum requirement for this side. we should be aiming for top 3 all season in this division.

Am I concerned about our present form?
I've been concerned since day one.
We sit in seventh at the moment but the standard in our league is appalling.
I have yet to witness a full 90 minutes domination under Bowyers tenure and fail to see how we can push for promotion with a squad of players who on paper should walk the league but fail all too often to perform as a team, who's to blame?
Drury is still part of the set up and Bowyer doesn't play an attractive style of football, say's it all really nothings changed down at Valley Parade it's the same old same.
Lacklustre performance will lead to dwindling crowds before long with the usual Boo Boys warming up in the background.
    Time for change?
Everyone will have their own opinions regarding manergerial changes during a season and as I've said we are in seventh with plenty of points to play, but change at the helm might not be a bad thing, we've gone stale and it's showing in our results.

We all keep on talking about the awful football under Gary Bowyer but other managers set their teams up the same way, yet they manage to produce attractive football. And the end of the day it is up to the players to perform when they step on to the pitch. The player's movement off the ball is not good enough, quite often the player in possession has little or no option.
Yesterday Vaughan missed a sitter and I was telling at him like everyone else. Having said that even with the system we are playing we are giving him enough support and consequently he is having to do far too much work outside the box. One good thing from Vaughan yesterday was the headers he one against the two giants they had at the back.
The fact that our passing and movement is poor made the presence of both Reeves and Taylor such a big plus. Jake Reeves was cramping up before he went off and I am not surprised the amount of work he got through.

The last time we changed, when we were in the promotion places, ended up in an unmitigated disaster.

Yes you can change a manager, but anyone who comes in, inherits exactly the same players.

When the players ‘cross the line’, then there is little the manager can do.

We have seen a major team rebuild from last season, the number of new players is phenomenal.

Sometimes it takes time to get the right balance.

Jose doing a a good job at Spurs. Rodger changed Leicester. Monk at Weds.

Bowyer is a negative manager in terms of tactics.

A change of manager now would be a good thing for the club and players because it's like we are all bored of him already.

Bowyer has done nothing here to suggest he isn't worth losing.

Drury has to go also for sure!

Your not bored of him though are you? Every minute of every day you're on here talking about him, his tactics, his formations, his signings etc etc. When people get bored of something they usually go off and find something else that interests them. A couple of poor results and you come alive, promoting your sack the manager approach, advocating we all demand more and lamenting the weak mindedness of everyone around. If there is a feeling of boredom around I suggest there's something else causing it.

Lack of midgets around me these days?

It's not about the last 5 games.

He hasn't proved himself at Bradford City and is failing here! Let's not dress it up - he's failing!

Time for a change of manager! Don't be scared of change!

Leeds were struggling to score and be an attacking force, Bielsa changed the coach and brought a new one in and a change of coaching staff is producing goals galore, There is a lesson in that somewhere

Let's get rid of Drury but we won't because Mr Rhodes and Rupp don't want to spend money.

Drury will see out his contract here!

Agree we saw what Reeves brought to the game even after 2 years out, let's get Donaldson, Cooke, Devitt, Palmer. and the other injuries back and fit for 90 minutes football and I think we will see a different Bradford City....oh yes not forgetting bringing Doyle back:blush: ;).

Look back from the early season debate where i post about Bowyers teams and his stats as a manager.
percentages for wins, draws and losses very similar to PP, in the 30's for each, which gave me the conclusion of around 60-70 points.
The way we are playing combined with our league position and points tally is exactly where i predicted. Just above average scrapping for the last few play off positions.

Broncs i really want to agree, but for me its not the players, its how the management team led by Bowyer are instructing them to play.
Very tight if possible whilst playing percentages football. Quick to get it up top but once there very laboured with no creativity.
IMO changes in personnel won't change the performances, especially away from home.
I will admit there have been some good showings this season but all at home.
