    Take it England lost then?

Awful sport. Makes me laugh how many people were going to watch it who previously have never had the slightest interest in the game.

Judging by my social media that’s about 95% of the country this morning! Back to normal, it won’t be heard of again for 4 years. Thankfully after the 70 minutes I bothered to watch.

Its like tennis. Half the country love tennis for 2 weeks a year during Wimbledon, the rest of the time, they couldnt give a toss about the sport

Why? Being passionate about your home country should never be a bad thing so why do I have to be a rugby fan to cheer on England at a world cup?

Not a Rugby Union fan, prefer League myself but as I have never taken time to learn the rules etc I watched it purely because it was England, and Im still baffled about SA first try.
Never mind Im backing the winners at Valley Parade this afternoon ;).

I am very passionate about England as the country of my birth. Doesnt mean I am going to waste time watching a sport I have never had the slightest bit interest in.

Its like the Eurovision Song Contest, couldnt care less how we get on

In rugby union you have to earn the right to run the ball by being better up front at the breakdown and/or breaking the gainline to nullify defensive line speed. England were brilliant up front against NZ- had them going backwards constantly which meant our offloading forwards and running backs could combine beautifully to create openings.
The Boks won the breakdown battle today so we never got our passing game going. And we kept making handling errors, giving them scrums which they bossed, leading to penalties. They were ruthlessly efficient and we had no answer. Fair play to them.
But to make the final of a world cup is no disgrace and this is a pretty young team that will hopefully keep improving.

TBF it was a good enough reason to be in the pub. First and last time I'll waste my time watching RU.
