Donaldson is woeful

He's going to cost us a lot of points this season. Replace asap.

 

He's beginning to look like a disappointing signing.

Time to start turning that round.

 

Quite possibly. Difficult to judge from the far end stand. Shocking miss, whatever the distance.

 

Our lass would have scored from that header, lets hope were not dwelling on that shocking effort.

 

Donaldson had scored something like 3 goals in 2 years before joining us. Hes not very good.

 

Put Oteh on for Donaldson, surely he can't miss from 3 yards out too

 

Ifollow stats:

1 cross completed out of 20. That's the one that donaldson fluffed. We've had plenty of balls into the box, but nowhere near enough desire to get on the end of stuff. The front 2 need to step up here.

 

We’ve made hard work of that. Scunthorpe more of a threat with 10 than 11 but not much more. Doesn’t help when you miss a gilt edged chance. Up the tempo in the second half and we win this no problem, may need a sub or two to change it though, Connolly and Pritchard haven’t got into the game. Possibly McCartan and/or Ismail.

 

Scunthorpe look happy to let us fire balls into the area maybe give Donaldson 15 minutes then get the kid Otech on as we know McArdle is not happy with pace.

Wood needs to be given more chance to get crosses in with us having the extra man, he’s the best crosser we have and the ball Donaldson was perfect.

Never going to be an easy game, but there will be questions asked if we cannot turn around another game against ten men.

 

Overall, I have so far been disappointed with the front 2 this season. 5 goals between them in over 10 league games is a poor return.

Sure, they both are very hard working, and take some marshalling, but we need far more in terms of goal output.

And if we don't you will find some poor excuses to defend the the shock reasons we we didn't beat 10 men.

That's the thing, they definitely do their bit for the team (unlike other former City strikers), but the goal return is beginning to look disappointing.
