Nope, just the T&A reporting the same as the YP that Blades have apparently submitted a higher bid https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/17801720.sheffield-united-increase-bid-former-bantam-oli-mcburnie/

It’s times like this that remind me of how crazy a low value Nahki went for. Granted there are a few significant reasons as to why the situation is almost incomparable......times have significantly changed, transfer fees become more ludicrous and he didn’t have success at a higher level like McBurnie etc etc. However Huddersfield still got an absolute steal from us at the time.

Remember: we receive 15% of anything Swansea receive AFTER profit.

They paid £315k for him, and we have received another £500k in add ons.

IF the £17m (rising to £20m) is correct, we should receive circa £2.43m+.

Sutcliffe's piece in the YP says that the initial fee was £250k and the add on to date take it to the circa £500k amount
    So would receive more.
You can bet your life that the Source is Jnr Rhodes as Sutcliffe was very close to him when he was the T&A hack.
Usually anything that Sutcliffe writes in the YP has come from Jnr

Judging from your posts on this thread you're dying for City not to get any money, so defensive about him not moving when all the noises suggest he will move...

I understand it was £250k plus £250k add ons. So whatever the final fee is, minus £500k and it's 15% of that. Big shout out to JonJo Shelveys agent if this deal does go through.

Not at all of course it would be great to get the money. I have read numerous articles saying they didn’t want to sell him and it would take a silly offer to tempt them to part. Whether the latest one is that we wait and see

If this deal goes through, a big massive thank you goes to JR, for guarding once again City’s interest.

True but I genuinely think they would prefer to keep him. But of course any player is for sale at silly money whether 20 million or whatever is silly enough remains to be seen

To those people saying Rupp may take the money back and leave some to get 2/3 players just remember we will only get the cash when Swansea get it. So if the initial fee is £15m and it is spread over three years then it would be £5m first payment. if we have already got £500k then it would be £4.5m giving us , at 15%, £675k cash. So if Rupp is taking his money back first then it would leave nothing to spend on new players.

It’s guaranteed income though and as such can be secured so we can still spend it knowing it’s coming in.

We can only spend it early if someone, Rupp, puts the money up early. Plus it is only as guaranteed as neither club involved going totally bust
