Watching the final, although tinged with a little sadness. Not only do I miss the chance to honour/respect Darbs, but I don’t even get to see the final I was hoping for. And more importantly, the people I’ll be watching it with, are gutted it isn’t the final they wanted.

yeh - those four mentioned are not 100% guaranteed starters hence why i mentioned that on their day they could be part of the first choice XI, read it again; i did not say they weren't first teamers as they are in the first team squad but on the other hand they could also lose their position easily. not like van dijk, mane, firminho or salah who would tend to be first names on the team sheet if fit no matter what.

clyne and lallana have been speculated to be leaving liverpool this summer and chamberlain is also a squad player, albeit due to injury recently. which of those players involved in the liverpool squad tonight is 100% a guaranteed name on the teamsheet come the first game of the PL season? that is someone who you could class as a member of the first choice XI.. when everyone is fit it's 1 of milner, keita or fabinho to play alongside henderson and wijnaldum. then you could argue it's matip or gomez to play alongside van dijk - but that's it, nobody else.

you can put as much gloss on it but you asked where all the u23 players were, i pointed them out to you - 61% of those players currently involved in liverpool's pre-season fixtures are from the u23s. the rest barring 1 or 2 aren't getting on the teamsheet for the starting XI on the opening day of the season.

Yeah it’s a Super Sunday.
#my town my team Cougars are at home , England in the cricket final. My choice without a doubt will be City v Liverpool hopefully catch the end of the cricket .

But the idea of getting pumped by liverpool with every goal celebrated by thousands of 'bantams' isnt something that would thrill me.....

God almighty. Why can’t people just go to the match and watch it, support Stephen Darby and go home.

It’s a great cause and I hope it goes well. I can just see it though, Liverpool banging the goals away and our own Bradpool fans cheering as each one goes in. Wouldn’t feel right to me.
