Guiseley.. friendly

Tomorrow’s team will largely depend on whether any player has been feeling any tightness after their 1st week back. There will undoubtedly be some not risked, which could pave the way for a couple of trialists.

I simply do not think we will see a first XI in either half tomorrow and it will be more a case of just giving 22 players (min) a run out

 

We hold our meetings in the phone box on the green. It can just about hold us all.

 

Expect it will be a usual 1st pre-season team with a bit of mix and match team just so that as many players can get 45 minutes as possible with any players feeling a bit of tightness or niggles not risked which probably makes room for 1 or 2 trailists.

 

Please all remember pre season is about fitness and building an understanding.

I don't want to here this player is excellent etc.

All players will play and even if the likes of AOC or McCartan start it doesn't mean they'll be here at the end of the transfer window.

 

I'm just treating as a nice day out. A few beers before the game. Watching City in the sunshine in our new kit; trying to work out who the hell all the new faces are. And also some of the shower from last season too

 

I think that was another frustration of last season. Killa played in the pre-season games but then bombed out of the club. I know Collins claimed responsibility but I still can’t believe ER had nothing to do with it

 

But it works the other way too.

Equally, I don’t want players being wrote off as garbage, because they didn’t stand out against a non-league side, in the 45mins they got...!

 

Anyone have an update on Colville? Have I missed it and has he signed? Has he been in training for those who have been down?

Wondering if he will be in the squad for today’s friendly? Seems strange if he hasn’t already signed, especially since we have put an offer out.

 

He's definitely been training.

It’s a friendly against a local non-league side, I can’t see it being covered. In fact I don’t see any of the games being covered, possibly with the exception of next Sunday’s game

 

I love my football but even i draw the line at possibly listening to a friendly game on the radio. Hard enough listening to league games on the wireless.

 

I'm tempted.....
