I had to read that twice as I couldnt believe what I read first time.

I honestly couldnt care less what shirt people sat around me are going to be wearing, its a charity match for a very good cause, not a league cup semi final for godsake

I doubt the majority of these Bradford based Liverpool followers who only connection to that club is a shirt and a sky sports subscription even knew who Stephen Darby was before this match. Make no mistake about it they’re here to see Liverpool the fact it’s for charity is irrelevant

Absolutely Onside, why the need for such a personal vendetta against our opposition for a friendly is unjustifiable. This cause which has such meaning concerning a player who has represented both Clubs and who is held fondly in esteem by both sets of fans that it is a sellout itself, is testimony to an overriding feeling of goodwill and respect for Stephen. In my view, not something to warrant PB's response.

Have you contacted the club regarding your concerns that there may be Liverpool supporters who live in bradford attending the said game who maybe wearing a red football shirt.

Is it still the case that Liverpool vs Everton derbies see blue and red side by side and they are major intense games? Sorry but this is a friendly to raise money, I am just not seeing a problem with "red" shirts in the "home" end.

How on earth is someone wearing a liverpool shirt in the home part of the ground for a charity game showing disrespect I never notice what a fan sat near me is wearing and if anyone does maybe they should stop going to football and just go to fashion shows instead

It doesn’t matter. Their money is as good as yours or anyone else’s. Whether they knew it or not, they’re still contributing to the charity.

What part of this do you need help understanding?

I’m obviously in the minority but I’m not in the least bit interested in this friendly, but will make a donation to the Darby Rimmer Foundation!

Sorry there is no sense in what you're saying.

This is a football match between two teams whose
fans have both suffered tragedy and are now
paying to watch a game to support a charity which
is now close to our hearts due to the sad diagnosis
    of Stephen Darby.

It would be an even greater display of unity if fans
did proudly wear their shirts among each other.

There is no "disrespect" anywhere in this event!

    I can't wait.
Day out with the family, full stadium against the European champions and all for a good cause. How can you not be interested?
I've got a couple of Scouse family in the bantams bar with me should be a good day out.
First time my 8 year old has seen a sell out crowd he's well excited.
Couldn't care less who is in the Liverpool team I'm just gonna enjoy the day out .
Well done city, Liverpool and all the fans who ever you support for supporting a very worthy cause!!!!

What does the events in the 80s have to do with anything. The last thing that needs to happen is making this match about what happened in the 80s.. This is for Stephen Darby, nothing else

You're making this about money and charity.. I have no problem with them being in the ground, that was always going to happen. Just think they should respect the fact they're in the hone end of another football team and not wear Liverpool shirts

Is it any different to the City fans who wear their colours and take over Guiseley's ground every pre season?

It’s going to be a great occasion how often have we seen Valley parade full. Let’s hope the weather is good it will be very colourful ground and a rousing atmosphere I hope Some of Stephens old teammates will be there as well. A lot of money raised and what a difference to our usual pre season stuff
