A nice start and we should be looking at picking a decent amount of points in those first 5

 

First 5 fixtures:

Cambridge (H)
Grimsby (A)
Oldham (H)
Stevenage (A)
Crewe (A)

 

Just realised that even the southern teams are miles away! What a sh!te league!!!

 

Just realised we've been relegated to league two.... hadn't hit home til I read that fixture list. Please let's get out of this first time round!

 

Important to get off to a good start, got to win our first two home games, would be happy with 10 points from those first five

 

I look at our list of opponents and I want to cry.

Reality hitting home.

 

Salford on tv opening weekend. Joke. Wonder how many times they are on this season. Probably double figures.

Anything to give them a boost. Hope they finish bottom

 

I didn’t feel that downbeat seeing this season’s fixtures. Made it a bit different and interesting with a novelty factor. It’s not like there’s a shit ton of glamour clubs with bling stadiums and massive support in D1 either, so hardly a massive step down. Of course, if it became the norm I’d be changing my opinion, but if (and I appreciate it’s a big IF) it’s just for the one season, then I can live with it, especially if we start winning games for a change. Grimsby, Carlisle, Salford and Morecambe should be decent trips. Looking forward to us locking horns with Mickey Flynn’s Newport too.

 

I'd prefer 11 points, tbh - 3 Wins, and 2 Draws. And looking at the opposition, I don't think I'm being greedy.

 

Could have only one home game in November.

 

Although potentially tough .......... December could be a good month for point scoring, and hopefully pushing us out of this Lge toward Lge 1;

Not sure that will be as easy as you think

 

lol hilarious I remember playing Macclesfield on a seasons opener and they stuffed us.

Nothing can be taken for granted but we need to gel quick, be smart and get into some of these teams. Some of the teams will love playing at our place.

 

I didn't say easy, Park. Which is why I said "Potentially tough"
I fully expect ALL those sides to feature in the top half, if not the top 7. Thus is would be great to see a good points haul.

 

In Stuarts 'First (Managerial) game' ?? It was a 1 - 1 Draw, wasn't it ? Nonetheless - We ALL had hoped for better.

 

So we’ve gone from finishing woefully bottom of the league, to picking up 12 points from our first five games. That’s why we are here, folks. Fickle until the end. Personally, 15 looking them fixtures.
