Have any ex players done well as our managers in recent times, and by well I mean got us promotion?

Trying to think who the last ex player as manager was that took us up?

 

IMO that would be the return of Parky and his team.......which is never going to happen.

I do remember how terrible some of the “football” was, however it was his way and what he did ensemble and have was a squad of players who were 100% behind the manager, the club and the supporters.

What’s the obsession with former players, staff and managers coming back? Moore, Stuart, Parky, Jones, Hanson, Mason, Wendy. Greg Leigh is Cafu’s long lost son according to some City fans. Always looking to the past, it’s the x anniversary of beating Chelsea, on this day we beat Sunderland in the cup.

This and the blind faith mindset of JGBTLFFS, at least we have a club to support, TRUE fans will buy a season ticket no matter how shit we are and the total acceptance of mediocrity allows the owners and players to get away with it. Challenge the feckers, tell them what they offer is sub standard, then they’ll change or die. Blindly buying season tickets no matter how shit we are and JGBTLFFS makes them think it’s ok to carry on as they are. It’s this carry on as we always have done mentality that lead to the death of half of Britain’s industries.

 

Its the same fans on here with that same mentality, sucking Edin dry till he left, totally oblivious to what shit storm was going on around them, a stedfast refusal to see what was in front of their eyes. They have their wish now, dropping back to our spiritual home will please them, proper football m8.

 

With respect to these fine gentlemen, if that's a dream team then ambition appears to be very limited.
