Brilliant design that, never noticed the Lister Mills chimney until it was pointed out.
The club need to be looking at that for next season.

Is it Listers tho? Listers mill has more ornate facade around the chimney (to help the pony and trap get round it!).
A shirt with some Bradford heritage is badly needed. I’d buy for sure, although I’m sure the chimney might look a bit bloated around my 45 year old stomach :)

I've got an old photo somewhere of my old dad sat on the top of Listers Mill Chimney. He reckoned it was a bit of a myth that you could ride a pony and trap around it, but you could certainly drop one down it!

I sent the Jon an email:

    Hi
Not sure if you’re aware, but the Bradford City concept shirt – the one with the mill tower on it, is currently doing the rounds on the internet, and people are calling it the best shirt they’ve seen for a long while, many saying it should be used next season.
What was your intention with this design? People on FaceBook are asking who designed it. I found it shared on a Bradford City forum (Bantamtalk), and posted an image of it on a Bradford City FB group.
Do you mind if I reveal that you designed it?
Also, what would you think if there was some sort of petition for Bradford to use it as their actual shirt?
Regardless, I think it’s a superb design, and it’s about time their was a nod to Bradford's heritage on the club shirt.

    Cheers!
    James

    And got a reply back:

    Hi mate
    Thanks for your message.
Yeah I saw it pop up again the other day. It’s good to see people connecting with it - the idea being to design a shirt that only BCAFC could have, at a time when club identity seems a little lacking.
My friend James MacKenzie mentioned starting something petition-wise when I first shared it but there’s been so much going on at VP I dont think he progressed that idea.
It certainly would be great to it under the noses of the decision makers and certainly fits the “Our City” ethos, but I’m reluctant to set up something for my own design as that seems a little self-serving.
Happy for it to be pushed though. What do you think is the best way to do it?
    Cheers
    Jon

So what do you lot think is the best way to do it? Simple enough to get a FB group set up, with the amount of "likes" indicating the shirts support. Do you think emailing the club with an image of the shirt would get any feedback? Perhaps @Jason McKeown@Jason McKeown would be interested in doing a small article about this design on WOTP?

Don't know why I'm getting all excited about his. Perhaps it's because the club has lost so much of its identity these last twelve months, that something which has a connection with our past glory as a city, rings certain bells. Plus I suppose I've missed us using the traditional colours. I also don't get out as much as I should :) OR is it just me who likes it, and I should stop getting my hopes up?

I'm guessing a custom made, haute couture shirt would cost a lost. But I'm also guessing they'd sell quite a lot. If by some amazing circumstance, that the club actually want to go ahead with this design, would they have to get permission to use the mill tower image?

Anyway, any feedback from you guys would be greatly appreciated!
    Cheers!

If the club were interested Im sure he'd be interested.
As always would come down to number's costs, but it doesn't have to be Adidas/Puma/Avec/Slurridge

I'd prefer to buy one of those rather than the crappy strip the first team play at home in.

The grandkids got my name on that one off strip and had it framed for me. Hangs proudly on my office wall to many derisory comments from others ;)
