The comparison was nothing to do with shirt costs… Rather the implosion of decent football clubs by asset stripping,
“ investing” owners ?

 

Why oh why does a club need 3 kits?
Teams should play in their main kit for ALL games, and a secondary change strip for a clash if needed.

 

I agree that teams should play in their main kit, and use an away kit for clashes. But there's another reason for a third kit, especially for teams like ours whose first and second kits are both dark. A light third kit helps visually impaired people differentiate between the two teams on the pitch more easily

 

Anything that helps the refs is a good thing

 

Marketing and money .

 

You can see a pinstripe from 10 feet and a chalkstripe from 10 yards. Ours are butchers' stripes and I reckon they are probably best seen from 10 miles.

Not only does the kit look absolutely terrible but it looks like it’s sticking to the players.

Spot on… not a big fan of dark kits for that very reason.

The lettering of the players names is way too dark. Couldn't read any of them.
