Totally agree about the cost. I actually put that as the first point in my final sentence.
Not sure the ‘entire framework’ would need to be demolished? Rather just ripping out the terraces and steps, then pinning a new base, and placing new concrete moulds for terraces, which would be wider than the current ones to provide legroom.
I am sure there are a number on here, who have some involvement in the construction industry, who could comment more authoritatively than me.

Looking at the supporting steel work , either the steelwork needs to be modded, by burning off the “ slab supporting steps” and replacing at a different pitch from front to back or replacing the uprights totally . There is a great photo on Flicker by Kieran Wilkinson of the steel frame and the concrete slabs being sat on the frame “ steps” . Apologies I can’t copy it over for some reason .

Search “Valley Parade new Kop in construction” > images > scroll through.

Look for the side on view , then the construction methodology is easy to see. As you suggest from the outset it’s not remotely value for money on cost and reduced capacity grounds with minimal benefit to the supporter for roughly two hours a fortnight over a season.

Bromley’s new stand . City’s concrete steps are mounted on the steelwork exactly the same way . Interesting construction methodology Rod .

We put men on the moon in 1969, with less computing technology than the average mobile phone.
Perhaps there is a clever solution.
I remember the discussions on here, about putting solar panels on the roofs of the stands at VP, and being told categorically it couldn’t be done!
