True but they only really spending on incomings what they have recieved in outgoings the last 12 months so dropping over £1m on a striker isn't really a surprise, albeit been 32 years old!

If we suddenly find ourselves selling Bobby for a heft fee or Humphrys if he has a 20 goal season you would expect us to do the same.

Jamie McDonnell Signed recently for Mansfield on loan from Notts Forest he was at Colchester last year and their player of the season and included in team of the year. I wonder if he was on our radar he would have been a great loan for us

 

He had a good season last season. Be interesting to see if he can step up a league. Be interesting to compare his performances with Khela as well. Both in similar situations.

It's that kind of loan that I hope we'll go for - someone who has been on loan before, done well and is coming for a second loan.

Spot on Jon, but Kev was happy to take on my bet that City will end above them and others seem to think they will struggle. Their budget will be monstrous, we had something like the 5th biggest when we last got relegated but it was at around £4.5 million. 5th biggest now is probably double that, the gap has grown and unless we bring through talent and sell them for big bucks then we won't touch them. It'll take time to get up to speed at this level with the finances at play.
