A solid interview...would have liked to know more about the present, current squad feelings, new players etc but maybe not that type of interview.

He was the luckiest manager in L2 last season but for Cookies injury forcing him to change things
and Walsall total collapse he would still be a L2 manager
Still has a lot to prove for me success will be a top ten finish this time

What I took away from the interview was that he’s a decent family man, he’s a deep thinker, extremely focused, with a strong work ethic, and thinks of other people before himself.

He’s built a culture in the club and gets people to work with him and go on the journey together.

Enjoyed the interview, and it reaffirms my belief we undoubtedly have the right man at the helm, which after being in the doldrums and scraping the barrel for a few years is a good place to be.

 

If our defence next season is as tight as GA’s shirt in that interview, we’ll be tough to beat

 

Certainly wasn’t the luckiest with injury

 

Really enjoyed the interview. Comes across as a really decent bloke. Hope he has another good season with us this time around.

 

They are a good series these podcasts. The City chat in Alexanders properly starts just before an hour mark, if anyone wants to cut the early life/career parts.

 

They are, just wish the host would stop trying to refer everything back to him and the way he runs his business. Nobody's interested, shut up.

 

Ha ha. I know what you mean. Ive watched the Sparks, Sarce and GA ones, and he’s mentioned the line his son says about being a Donnelly etc several times even in those three episodes!

It sounds like he’s doing well for himself though, and being a City fan, he’s living the dream getting all this content. Referring to his business sort of gives the podcast some relevance to him being there and not just being a fan!
