Cole would be a cracking loan signing if we can persuade him to come

 

I'd suspect if he knows WBA are prepared to let him go out on loan he'll be aware his appearances at WBA will be limited.

 

Just my opinion but I'm always sceptical when players return.
You tend to base your opinion on what they did previously for us like I say just my take on returning players.

I thought he was better than a lot gave him credit for. I remember the game at Oldham where he was unplayable and scored 1 or was it 2 cracking goals?

 

Cole had undoubted talent probably with questionable attitude. Eye for a goal but not sure he can play a pressing game which is what we do

 

Certainly had the pace, his problem was , if I recall rightly , very easily pushed around by hairy arsed defenders . He’s been around the block since the 19 year old we were familiar with.

 

Who is questioning his attitude ? Not that “ Rumour Mill “ fella ?

 

If as @Bradford End said he did well in Scotland under Alexander there must be a reason were in for him, as you say I cant see it being for his high press game.

David McGoldrick has just signed for Barnsley, would have loved to have him here on a 1 year deal. Surprised he has gone to Barnsley if they have the financial issues that are rumoured unless they've gone all out on him and spent a lot of the budget on him.

Cook - we don't know when he'll be back and how he'll return.

Kavanagh - young and untested at this level.

Swann - similar player to Kavanagh, has had injury issues in the past.

Humphreys - stated in the T&A he's not a striker but a forward.

Smith - on his way out and again very similar to Kavanagh and Swann.

 

He is a like for like replacement for Smith in terms of most like what we already have, but he is a better footballer

If there is going to be a mystery “familiar face” at the kit launch tommorow then could it be Cole?
