I just have it in the back of my mind senior , well respected players such as Sarce and Hunts ( maybe why he’s been retained for a period? ) will hopefully take up the mantle. 8 new signings all mostly first choices will take some gelling. I’m sure those two will play their part?

I wonder what their initial approach was that we turned down? Unless they only wanted him on loan it would seem nonsensical to reject a chance to get him off the books

 

It might be something as simple as we insist they pay all registration/ contract/ legal fees. They said no , we said bye bye. They have a contracted player for free at the end of the day, so they bear those costs.

Great article. I’m definitely feeling more optimistic about our transfer activity this summer. Even bringing in Tilt seems like a decent move for his experience and leadership... And I think there’s still more business to be done once a few players have moved on.

While with Mansfield in the 2018/2019 season, he had a fabulous season, bagging 26 goals in 52 outings.


His form at The Stags saw him earn a place in the PFA League Two Team Of The Season.



The following season, he joined Lincoln on loan, where again he thrived, scoring 14 league goals in just 29 outings.
