This is true and calls for Sparks head and Rupp out no doubt if 'we' had cocked it up.....even though he had nothing to do with the stupid on field decisions and pathetic results.

    Kinda just proven his point.

That’s right, back to the ‘You do better then’ argument. I’ll remind you of this next time you criticise a player, or another club!

Agreed. It is not what he has said previously.

As long as Sparks leaves the footballing decisions to Sharp and Graham he can say what he wants, personally I'm not interested in what he says because when the going was tough, he was nowhere to be seen. But, I hope he's in the public all the time from now on as it probably means we are doing well.

I know it fashionable to be part of the ever diminishing cult , but really is that it.

I’ve watched and played football long enough to be able to offer a critique and conversely worked with and faced CEO’s over three decades round the boardroom table , so I believe I can offer an experienced educated opinion, nothing more nothing less seeing as you asked .

Some get it wrong and learn by mistakes , some get it so wrong they are quickly moved on. Some develop over time, some develop into industry leaders .

If you want to share your personal experience as to the workings and capabilities of a CEO we would be more than happy to listen to your opinion for sure. Fair?

Riiiight... More nonsensical waffle from you. You've moved on from your usual 'you do better' line back to the classic 'I used to work with CEOs' now with the added bonus of 'I used to play football' as if that somehow makes your opinion worth more than anyone else's.

    'seeing as you asked' -
    I didn't.

Look, I think Sparks makes himself look a right daft Twit on a regular basis. I'm perfectly happy to point that out when others start acting like the sun shines out of his arse, no matter if they are a CEO (or once knew one) or hand out the shoes at a bowling alley.

And as a side note, how a 'cult' can be both fashionable and diminishing at the same time is beyond me.

As am sure someone on here would agree a good CEO does it the opposite way
Let's his "team" take the praise when things are good
Issues rallying call when not so good
Not interested either in what he says but as someone posted earlier he was 60 seconds from another failure

Thanks you have no comparisons to measure him by how did I guess?

Yes being a member of a cult can be fashionable , you do know what fashionable means , but fashions can diminish . You still wearing bell bottoms ? . A perfect example of a diminishing fashion / trend , yet some still think they are the bees knees …

Out of date and out of touch perhaps would be better understood ?

Inane waffle that fella, classic WUM behaviour from yourself. 'bell bottoms'.....christ :expressionless: Like many have said before, you'd argue with yourself if you could.

I don’t need to have run a football club (or have once known a CEO a millennium ago) to call Sparks a smarmy git.

Just because I'm not clapping along with every word that falls out of Sparks' mouth in his current set of 'Im fantastic' interviews, it doesn't mean I'm in a cult. Out of date and out of touch? :joy:

Or you could say Sparks was 90 odd minutes from success a couple of seasons earlier until Hughes Cocked it up. Yes if that goal hadn’t gone in it would have been his fault but it did go in and everyone else takes the credit

Whether it’s 90 minutes or 90 hours, success is success, and failure is failure. Sparks put together a team that got promoted, and he deserves credit for that. But I still find him hard to like, his Brent-like interviews don’t help, and he vanishes whenever things get tough.

    Really?

I'd say the bloke at Accrington has a much tougher job with very few income streams. The Bradford job should be a doddle at this level if you're competent enough.

He was also 46 games away from success at the start of the season
The end result being exactly the same (failure)
Not sure I get any point you are trying to make

The point is he is responsible for failure but success and it’s down to others in some peoples eyes.Anyway what’s past is past the club is growing let’s hope we can ride the waves of optimism.

For context, we would have a slightly higher playing budget than £15m in the Championship. Solidarity payments alone are £11m per club, as opposed to circa £2m in League One.

Admittedly, although our Championship playing budget would be somewhere between £18m-£20m, it’s pocket change compared to some - but certainly not the lowest.

Part and parcel of being the CEO of a club/business
He really doesn't help himself tho
Waves of optimism begin when we are challenging for a place in the Championship (pre the present owner)
