Makes you wonder doesn't it just how much money there is even now between L1 and L2? Let's say Pointon has a really good spell between now and January and there's rumoured interest, are we looking at 7 figure asking prices? Because he's shown he can do it at this level at 21/22?

If someone like Costelloe is going for £500k after an average L1 stint? Stoke have publicly slapped a £2.5m tag on Nathan Lowe after half a season in L2.

 

Can safely say with absolute confidence under Rupp we will never pay anywhere near that. Infact that confident il do BU donation if we do.

How does this work for loan players? Are we still dependant on under 21s and would signing a loanee over 21 require us to release or not register a senior player

Im staggered to be honest with some of the money spent in League one, even with the Promoted teams. Today Port Vale have managed to sign a centre back who was offered new terms at Rotherham and who has played for them in the Championship. It’s going to be a very competitive league so I’m glad to see us competing and bringing in proven quality at this level. It’s refreshing to be honest.

 

We would be dependent on U21s. Loan or perm, if they were born after Jan 1st 2004 (Jan 1st is the cut off point every season) then they need to be registered to be used.

I'd guess we just don't bother ever registering Oduor, Wilson & Smith if they are still here come August to give us a little wiggle room, but then if they are still here we still have to pay them. So Sharpe & Co should be doing all they can do find a striker at the minute, but also having conversations with these fringe players about leaving.

 

Yeh surely if we wamted him he chooses us. Cant imagine they pay more either.
