I was hoping Khela would come back here I think he would have come and would have been a good investment

 

He was never picking us over Peterborough.

 

I heard the opposite from the Tesco shirt lot. He’s ruled out going back to Town apparently

 

Why? Average crowd of 9k and the ground is a mess . Anything else in their favour……I can’t think tbh.

 

I'd have loved to have seen him back, theres a lot of improvement to come from the lad.

Tp play for a club with an enviable track record of being a stepping stone to a higher level. Just the last couple of weeks, Ricky Jade Jones has gone to St Pauli, Rangers are after Kwame Poku and thats after a poor season.

Gutting cos an investment in that sort of player could pay a good dividend in a year or two, read that they have paid a substantial fee for him. I'd put money on them making a decent profit out of him.

 

Yeah MacAnthony was fuming, was it that if he'd moved to a club in this country they were entitled to compensation?

 

I know there’s no chance of windass but read other day that they can all leave there contracts at sheff wed if they don’t get paid the next months wages having already been due last months , not sure how true it is mind. So there could be a few players wanting a quick fix up

 

If they aren't paid for 2 pay days in a row, the players have the right to terminate their contracts. All the Sheff weds team weren't paid on time for May, but as of a few days ago Chansiri did end up paying certain members of the squad their May pay. So if June's pay is late at the end of the week, whichever ones have had it 2 months on the trot can leave. Local journo there said its a smallish group that are in that bracket.

 

Their history of developing and selling on players would be a big plus if he backs himself.

 

Guessing so. Cant find a thing to back it up, but Lincoln fans seem to think they had a deal agreed for £150k with sells ons and add ons, then Peterborough blew them out the water and wouldn't match the offer.

There's something there with Khela but he isn't ready for L1 footy for me. Bit lightweight for a proper box to box or tackling midfielder, didnt look amazing on the ball to be a playmaker. He looked in and out of sorts in his L2 cameos for us, think he'd have been better in L2 again for a proper first team run. But Peterborough have little in the CM department at the min, so he'll have to learn on the job.

 

Oh come on . I asked what the attraction was , not if he thinks owning their ground is a good idea.

PS The ground isn’t owned by the club either it’s owned by three different co-owners, formed as a Property Development Company .. @Rogered Tart gave a reasonable response , which helps answer the question .

For info these property developers purchased the ground from the Council about 4 or so years ago thinking the Council and Government ( taxpayers) would give them a ton of money ( levelling up funds) for free to build them a new stadium outside the City . Guess what they planned to do with the old ground , make a bucketful of money for house building .

The company , that purchased the ground originally went bust and scammed £6m out of loan companies . It’s still in the courts from memory.
