Pattison or Wright

 

Well in terms of previous captains, we Have Touray, Tilt and Power. I’m not sure why but I get the impression it will go to Tilt

 

I wouldn't give it to Pattison. He didn't come across as a leader during the three games he was captain when Richie was suspended.

Tilt a bit like a more of a refined ish Paudie.... he would be a good captain...

 

I know he probably won't start the season but I'd give it to Cook.

A man that will lead by example and isn't afraid to give it to those who he feels aren't doing their jobs correctly.

 

Agree he has something about him with leadership qualities

i think Tilt will get it myself

 

Bit awkward with his injury though, handing it out to a vice temporarily, then switching when Cook is fit.

I think Tilt and Patto are most likely. Not sure how commanding Wright or Power are. Maybe they are possibilities too.

 

Club captain and a team captain again anyone?

 

In all seriousness though it appears GA is recruiting players that have those leadership qualities already instilled in the with Tilt, Power and Touray being captains at previous clubs. I think the actual "Captain" will be a figurehead that can draw from experience across the team. It wouldn't surprise me to see one of the Promotion winning team given the armband as a bit of legacy for their achievements last term.

 

I wouldn’t personally Dave based on the current injury and perhaps not even selected ?

As a way forward and your idea has some legs in another way . ( We have definitely done it before)

Id be OK with anyone being Captain to be fair, I've not really much of an opinion on it but regarding Cook, when he's back fit I think he'll play and given Power, Halliday and Sarcevic are the other options mentioned and none fill you with confidence that they'll play more than Cook then I'm happy he'd get more than enough gametime.

 

I don’t think GA will choose the captain until the season starts

 

Sam Walker for Captain?

 

He doesn’t leave his pen area so no.

I think GA will appoint Power.
