I would think so, but I believe we need a second defensively minded midfielder to get us through the season.

 

Clearly, I don't know him at all but from the bits and pieces on social media he seems quite outspoken. I'm not sure that's the kind of player GA likes. He seems to recruit those who keep their mouth closed, get their head down and pull together as a team in public at least. Maybe im misjudging him on a few videos though.

 

There'll be a period when we lose a couple of games on the trot because, let's face it, there's some decent clubs and good players in league one. If GA can get that kind of run turned around quick then that will be a really good indicator of the strength of the team and his management.

 

Possibly but he is more attacking like Pattison a box to box type midfield. If we do play the same formation like last season then we definitely need a out and out Defensive midfielder in the team to protect the back 3.

 

Has Power played DM before or is it another GA quote “he can play there” like the ”Tommy Leigh can play there” when we all saw he couldn’t hit a barn door?

Simebody who can play there and someone who has always played there are two very different things.

We all know it’s a very specific and difficult role to play and losing RS will be a big blow.

If we once again shoehorn a player in to another unfamiliar role it will eventually come back to bite us on the arse.

Actual meaning of statement - player could play there if everyone else who has ever played even one minute in that position is suddenly injured.
