It doesnt no, but you'd like to think we were bringing in our major targets early and avoiding a scramble or an inflated market come late july. We have already missed out on some we were rumoured to be heavily interested in

Id like to see some movement at the top end of the pitch but i think that looks dependant on moving people on.

Cook, relatively unproven at this level and unsure what limitations the injury as placed on him
Kavannagh, again unproven at this level and certainly had good and bad games even at league two.

Pattison, sarcevic both heavily susceptible to injuries with no gaurantee of 40+ games out of them

Still no real plan B, even though plan A was hit and miss in stages last year. Can we get bodies in to enable a switch to a formation that includes a real attacking wideman (Agyei or Markandy would have provided this).

A lot of work gone in targeting the midfield backwards, Id just like to see us make in roads to the attacking side of things sooner rather than later.

I personally don't like this approach at all. Play our best 11 players at all times when possible, adjust and tweak line-ups and tactics for away games but keep it simple too. Let the other team worry about us

That's up to him though, if he plays at a very high standard all year then yes, if he plays worse than Richards he'll be the back up. Under GA I'm sure every player will know his place is only guaranteed if they maintain their standards, he's very hot on it

Im not sure Tilt and Kelly are back ups - GA has brought one in to compete and he is a Kelly fan. It will be 3 from Baldwin, Wright, Tilt and Kelly. Your back ups will be Byrne and Goodman.

We didnt get Murray Wallace over the line so potential for one more

There is a big possibility that players or player of the type you refer to have already been signed and just not announced. A big difference .( Hence the endless speculation )

Im for sure believing the club are stage managing “ news” to benefit merchandise ( shirts etc ) and season ticket sales, no question. Annoying if fans are information hungry but from a business point of view it makes complete sense.

I keep an eye on the season ticket sales
Lucky if we have sold another 10 across the bottom tiers in all 4 stands in the past few weeks

Huddersfield have had a £1.5m bid for Galbraith from Orient rejected. They are throwing money at this rebuild.

Not anything to suggest this might happen but wonder if we’ve looked at Piergianni over at Stevenage?

Played for Graham at Salford, wonder if there’d be any chance of getting him if we wanted.

Mark Hughes once let slip we had signed 9/10 players in a pre season interview, when only 5/6 had been announced. Folk assumed he was on about new contracts but the City Vent tweeted and deleted 4 players and all came true over the coming weeks.

Yeah it’s gonna be between them, Cardiff and Reading for title. No one else can come close to their budgets.

Carlisle had the biggest budget in league 2 last season and look what happened to them. As we have seen on many occasions throwing money about doesn't always bring success and a club on a small budget build a side that works and fights for each other have gone on and been promoted.

That’s the 3 who are going up for me, Town will walk the league in my opinion. I can’t stand them so takes a lot to say that.

The correlation between wealth and success in football is massively in favour of clubs with larger budgets other wise no one would spend any money, our most successful period this club has ever seen was done because of huge investment on players. That said, success can be gained on comparatively small budgets like Morecambe and Accrington did but usually that success is short lived and they go back to their real level.
