Love this move. He was a mainstay in successful Stockport sides, fairly certain GA had him at Salford too?

As much as Richards is liked, he just has a knack of injuries. He's had 4 seasons of men's first team football and they've all had injury problems. As good as he is, you need depth at LWB if Richards is there.

With Huddersfield being in the Premier League I can see why Huddersfield were asking that sort of money, just a shame Rahic thought he knew better than the manager when he let Hendrie return to Burnley Stuart wanting to keep him, the team fell away after getting beat at Yeovil Town, 5 defeats on the bounce then Rahic sack him.

Simon Parker reporting club fully expects Richards and Kelly to sign new deals. Both very close to new deals according to GA.

 

Can’t Neufville play there as well

 

Richards yes, I'm sill convinced we should be upgrading on Kelly.

 

He was good until Christmas and then joined the others in creating our downfall. The only shining light was O'Brien. Body of a lamb, heart of a lion He did more than the rest of the team put together. Where is he now?

If the move for Touray comes off can I see him as cover for Richard’s ? No, as a result maybe Richards hasn’t signed ?

 

Kelly is back up only at best .

 

Although I would like an upgrade on Kelly he doesn't massively worry me if he has a good centre CB alongside. Sure he has his limitations but he's an old school stopper. He's rarely beaten in the air and not as slow as some make out. As things stand at the moment I'm not sure what the strongest starting 3 would be. Wright I think is first choice, then 2 from Baldwin, Tilt and Kelly.... We definitely need another CB in.

 

You mean like those stats you posted telling us that Touray played mainly in midfield last year?

Just do what i do and wait for it to be announced on the offical site because we all know that the msjority of these rumours are folk trying to get hits because there simply bored.

 

if we’re signing Tourey, he ain’t coming here to warm the bench. It’s the exact reason why he’s leaving Stockport. Richard’s would be the understudy

 

Replace Touray with Richards and it's the same scenario.

Hopefully, both will back themselves to make the shirt their own and that way the competition will keep standards high.
