Stockport fans think its likely and he worked with GA at Salford. That said if Richards is staying (rumours) then I am a tad surprised...he isnt guaranteed a shirt and wont be coming in as cheap cover.

That would be 4 very good wing backs on our books mind.

 

Wimbledon, Exeter and Stockport fans are all moaning at their depleted squads and lack of incomings.

It makes a change that it isnt our fans!!!

 

Early days but we are at least a Smallwood replacement and a centre forward away, both will need significant outlay, from being in the contented camp.

Was surprised to see Exeter odds so low and testament to this perhaps. Fan ownership and £ always a bit of a break on what is a well run club. Stockport won't hold back surely given the ownership.

 

I dont disagree but we are mid June and id say only 3/4 players away. And yeh I want significant too, not squad fillers.

Touray, Collar and Aygei would do me. Plus a CF.

 

I'm not sure if it's been spoken about previously on the thread, only my opinion but I could see in that situation Wright being utilised more in one of the roles Attacking Mid roles behind the striker. He's certainly got talent but needs more output in assists and goals. That would be in the scenario where we keep Richards and sign Touray.

 

I got the impression from what GA said in his recent interview with Raynor that the penny has finally dropped with him that WB is not Wright's strongest position.

 

That on top of what we have done would be the best window we have had in decades in my opinion.

I'd maybe add Murray Wallace to that list because until he's signed elsewhere it's not dead in the water.

I just hope we don't go down the youth loan route for the striker sole because we never seem to have any success with that. There's not much out there, but if you can negotiate I don't see why a Langstaff or Harry Smith are too unrealistic

Tyriek was very good at attacking midfield and winger. Then he went away and came back has a wing back. I would play him in the first roles his crosses are good sometimes great.

 

On the 11th June after we had signed Neufville, a lad I know (who is an avid City fan and journalist) stated that Touray would be the next signing announced.

 

Where have you been? You cant be withholding info like that for a week.

 

I have been watching these forums for months and thought I'd log back in properly. The same person I am referring to told me about Hughes and Alexander signing in the days before they were unveiled.

Unfortunately, we have recently stopped talking so I won't directly ask him about incomings/outgoings anymore, however I'm still in a group chat with him which is where I got this info from. If I see anything else I will post it here in future.
