I'm not writing him off. Halliday is a solid full back. But that's what he is.

If we have genuine aspirations of progressing, we need players with more pace, athleticism and technical ability. And that's what this signing is. Halliday has his place for now and competition is healthy. But a well run football club plans years ahead and not season by season. And this is Hallidays succession assuming all goes to plan.
