I like Halliday and didn’t think his position was a major weakness so LWB seems the more obvious place for him.

May be able to add Murray Wallace to that CB very soon if the rumours are true.

Agree. He's just won PotY playing RWB. That's what he's here for. He played 4 games or something at LWB. That isn't his position. Assuming we stay up, I'd say this is likely to be Hallidays last season with us and this is the succession plan.

 

It's a bit early to be writing off Halliday!
The guy has hardly put a foot wrong for three years and he's seen off Oyegoke and Benn.

Also linked up well with Wright when they were at Donny together so I'm sure he'll be relishing playing with him again.

 

Having competition for Halliday can only be a good thing, we've seen it twice in the last 2 seasons that when he has competition he steps it up. 2 seasons ago he was keeping Oyegoke out of the side then last season when he wasn't doing well and Benn took his place he fought back, won his place back and was much better.

 

I think Brad will struggle to get in front of this lad. Great signing.

Didn't he only take Oyegokes place once DO had injured his shoulder?

Halliday must have looked like prime Bobby Moore compared to him.

 

No idea if we are signing Murray Wallace. But one thing that might play a factor in the move.... whilst Wallace played at Huddersfield, he had a kid with a Bradford girl (someone i went to school with). They split at a point and he moved down south. Wonder if he's moving back up north to be around his nipper again? Complete guess, but might be a factor?

 

GA says possible one more in before players return. But will have to be patient for others which suggests they might be loans for the forward players

 

I dont disagree but as things stand...2 really good RWBs in which one who is capable of LWB and no proper LWBs.
