The problem with triggering the extension is that might just put off clubs from wanting to buy him, they might be interested in him as a low compensation transfer but not as a market value transfer. If that was to happen then we'd have the risk of having an unhappy player which would do more damage to the team than good.

 

And thats what you wanted to give Jake Young away for after scoring 20 odd goals for Swindon, with no injury record and plenty of potential and in contract.

That's 2 more than Vadine Oliver has scored over the past two seasons in league 1, playing the same amount of games overall as Young did last season.

 

Yet he played more games in league one than any Bradford city player last season. Your narrative screams failure cos you've always had an agenda toward Young, i remember you questioning the lads integrity. I'd say 27 games at that level in a team finishing 14th is a fair effort for your first season at that level.

 

Where has he been valued at up to 800k. By the way how many did Oliver score in a struggling league one team in the two previous seasons before we signed him

He values an out of contract, injury prone left back who has had a few good months in a City shirt the same as a striker who scored 20+ goals in half a season. We all see it, but he cant!

I saw a lot of games where he was brought on for the last 10 minutes.

 

Lets hope Byrne and Sarc are on the phone to him and Touray...Collar and Sarc look very close if Collars X profile is owt to go by!

Again depends on what the narrative is. You could say he's only played so many minutes, equally you could say a manager has deemed him good enough to play a part in 27 league one games. But then do i think he's good enough for a to hold down a regular starting spot in league 1? Not really.

 

I have absolutely nothing against Young only the valuation some people put on him

Gilliead played 42. Some absolutely gash players have plenty of games in league 1, we should know from last time we were there. Maybe Park was harsh on him but you’re bigging his season up too much
