    If you want to share it outside of BT, please make sure you let people know to LET ME KNOW IF THEY REQUIRE A REFUND or money is likely to be donated to the Bradford Burns Unit and the Darby-Rimmer Appeal.

    Ignore the £600 goal, it sets increments automatically. The final figure we're seeking is £1288 for a £1000 bid.

    Just seen that Tony Clegg is selling his League winner medal at auction later this month.

    Apparently it is valued at just below £1,000.
    Not sure if the club have one on display but surely this would be a perfect time to get one for the club to have?

    I wonder if we could crowd fund it and keep it at the club? 5000 people throwing a quid in surely buys it?

    I bet we could even raise enough on the forum alone. I'd be happy to start it with £20 if it's something someone wanted to organise?

    Ditto, it would be quite nice if it remained at the club, although we don't have a trophy cabinet to put it in !

    Just reading what platform is easier to refund everyone if we don't win the auction.

    I’ll be in too. The lad went in goal when Whitehurst clattered McManus. Always liked Clegg, I think he was better than his appearance records suggests.

    Might also be worth contacting the club in case they are considering bidding for it so we aren't bidding against each other.... just a thought.

    Shall we all agree to just put 20quid each in and keep the last medal from that day within the club, I think we have to, Tony was a good guy and player, but more than that the last medal if he wants to sell should come back, too poignant to be sold outside in my honest opinion

    I've messaged the club on FB asking a) if they're considering bidding and b) if they'd be willing to display it if we do buy it, hopefully they get back to us in the next day or two.

    If anyone can expedite a response that would be useful.

    Just reading the auction page and there is a buyers fee of 24% plus vat.

    so if the hammer price was £1000, the fee would be £240 plus £48 VAT so total price £1288. I’m guessing there would be delivery costs too.

    so if people are chipping in £20 we would need about 65.

    BTW I’d happily chip in for it

    Is there not a way to reach out to the guy either via the club or T and A, and see what sort of sum he would be happy to take?

    Probably easier to agree a sum and cut out fees set by the auction house and not get drawn into a bidding war aswell

    If everyone is happy to and the medal isn't bought I'd be fine with it being split between the burns unit and Darby-Rimmer funds?
