Has it been confirmed anywhere he's been offered a new deal? From the Palace website on their retained list it just says he's either been retained or offered a new contract, it doesn't confirm which applies to which player.

 

RE Morsy.
He dropped from the Championship to join Ipswich in League 1 then went up to the Prem with them.
Nothing to say he can't do the same again.
Might be in his thought process?

If Richards moves are we entitled to compensation

 

It will probably be another Jamie Walker situation where we invoke our option on him for next season then if anyone wants him they have to pay us or he stays rather than going now and getting 20 quid at a tribunal

 

As long as we've offered him a new deal on same or better terms we'll be entitled to something but I doubt it will be a lot as he's only been with us 2 years, also I would imagine Wolves will have a sell on clause so any fee we do get we'll lose a % of it.

 

He is kinda dropping from the PL though this time. And he was captain of a PL side so will have a taste for a very good monthly income.

£5k a week aint cutting it.

 

What would you say a fair fee is?

 

Ipswich were paying crazy wages when they won league one. I'd expect there will be offers from clubs with far bigger budgets than ours.

 

This is where signing on fees and bonuses come in, it's a huge part of players taking cuts in weekly wages. I cannot see us signing either Morsy or Wells or any of that ilk but stranger things have happened.

 

If it’s compensation it will be a set fee I presume
