Fighting to survive at this level is a false economy, as we will still lose money every year. Those who think it is getting carried away want to aim for a top 6 push. What do they expect to happen? Sit around losing money for years before going for it? Or we could strike while the iron is hot and push the boat out now. The division isn't going to suddenly get weaker and cheaper in a couple of years, we found that out the last time we were at this level. This isn't league 2.

So that would be Tilt, Wright and possibly Pearson as CB's recruitments. Not a bad trio on paper....all things considered. Add to Kelly and Baldwin, flog Byrne. Happy days.

Pace in behind might be an issue. Tilt looks slow, Pearson too doesn't look quick, I think Hudds fans said similar about him getting turned easily. Joe Wright is a shade under 6'5ft and again looks like he's a wall more than a runner. Think he'd be the central option.

I think Kelly is off if these 3 sign. Baldwin will stay, Byrne might well go too given he'll be 33 this season and nowhere near the team if all these come in.

I liked his comment because he thanked me for sharing the link, not because I agreed with his sentiment on us not signing Tilt.

@Sergio Pinto III asked me yesterday what my thoughts are on potentially signing Tilt, and I said “not for me”.

Furthermore, I’ve got @Petrov taking my posts completely out of context, because he focuses on the only bit he thinks he understands.

Might take another year off, it’s tiresome.

 

Good point, I read it wrong. I thought it said they worked together but it says he knows him from working in the SPL.

 

They are only saying that because he was on loan for them , and “sure” they can attract him back . He’s out of a deal not a free loan. So will cost!
