Understandably younger players will probably take longer to decide for a whole host of reasons, not.lesst competition.

 

Why would a player with a CV of mainly division one and championship experience and a history of leadership be cover for inexperienced Kelly they are competitors

I get that, but we aren't going to bounce straight into league one and hit the playoffs , unless we spend Wrexham/Birmingham money, it's hard enough with the calibre of what others around are signing e.g. Blackpool, Town, possibly Reading now with new ownership etc.
With a solid base, hopefully we can become established, then we can start looking at players with longer term futures. I know it sounds like a bit of a consolidation, but the last time we were here, we had a big budget, spent it on too many individuals/flair/inexperience and we finished rock bottom.

 

Looks like their owner is going for it before all his court appearances. The Chinese don’t mess around where alleged financial skull duggery is concerned .

I really think a lot of folk are over estimating League One as a division. With the right recruitment, anybody is capable of finishing in the top 6. Those with cash to burn will find things easier than clubs like ours but we can certainly finish top 6 if we recruit correctly and that doesnt have to cost an arm and a leg.

If you think Alexander, Sparks and Sharp are simply planning to 'stay in the division' and make up the numbers then I think you are mistaken.

 

Im not even sure it was me he bet with...I dont remember it at all. Im happy to have some burns unit bets for the upcoming season though.
