Mentioned it in another post but I don’t think Tilt or even Power for that matter are particularly cheap. You’d imagine the pair of them have commanded decent salaries throughout their careers so don’t think they’ve suddenly rocked up at City to play for peanuts.

 

I think there's some overreaction to this signing tbh, Salford could and should have ended in the playoffs if not for bottling it on the last day so they're hardly a mid table side. He was captain of said side and no one would have complained if we had signed the young lad from Oxford that they had on loan, who doesn't have the championship and League 1 experience of Tilt.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not excited by the signing and expect him to be one for the changing room like Huntington, but I don't put this one in with Taylor and Byrne. It doesn't make sense to give him a two year deal and Smallwood isn't worth one however, but that's not on Tilt.

Talk of going down on making one experienced signing is way OTT.

First positive post I've read in this thread, let's give the transfer window time to get going, during Alexanders time at the club we missed out on a play off place by a point then Alexander got us an auto place last season maybe he knows what he's doing .

 

And we're going to ensure that by signing average league two players to compete in league one.

He's not a 19 year old rookie. Anyone who watches lower league football regularly will have seen this bloke play plenty of times.

Quite clearly no one trusts the head of recruitment and the director of football.
