He has, but he’s 33 now and best days are behind him. We might get one good year out of him if his legs haven’t completely gone, but offering a two year deal seems a bit generous. Must have some agent. Moving from that tin pot club and going up in wages and a division, at 33

 

I'd have had him 4 or 5 years ago but not now. Fingers crossed he's here as back up because Kelly isn't staying

And with Tilt and Kelly both being left footed players it potentially makes it more doubtful that we're still chasing Shepherd.

 

Noticed he was Captain at Salford last season and we currently don't have one. Maybe brought in for the leadership side?

For balance, surely this rules us out signing another in Shepherd, too, now?

He spent the Majority of his career in league one whilst I would have preferred Pearson this signing with his experience isn’t as bad as some are making out. And both our recruitment director and manager know him and his strengths and weaknesses we will have to trust them

 

Didnt he also say ‘we can never drop to L2 again’ or similar, recently?
