We still haven’t heard a peep about the two pitch invasions?

    Yet ?

Problem they have is ALL clubs will have to be punished , not just us . It’s a long list?

Fine and warning no doubt somewhere along the line perhaps ?

The critical point is that the first pitch invasion occurred immediately after the goal and required action from the ref. The match was disrupted, the players had to be taken off and it took some time for the stewards to clear the pitch before the game could be restarted. The ref will be required to include that in his match report. That isn't the case with most end-of-season, post-match invasions when the officials and players have usually left the pitch. The EFL and/or the FA will probably be forced to take some action in response to the ref's match report. Congratulations to those who took part!

There was an article in the T&A yesterday, now gone behind the pay wall, that said City have given their thoughts and comments in and so have everyone else involved and they are now just waiting to hear back. I would be expecting a charge or two

Hard to apportion blame to anyone other than the fans directly involved, the club have done all they can with a ring of stewards around the pitch. it is an offence and in a perfect world with fluffy clouds and gardens full of roses it wouldn't. But emotion makes people's actions change, hard to accuse the clubs of failing to control.the situation when in reality no amount of security would make a difference in that situation.

100% agree, but I do think the second invasion just as the game was getting restarted could have been avoided if the announcement about the goal hadn't been made over the tannoy. You can't hear what's being said at the best of times and in the heat of that moment, I think a lot of people just thought it was some sort of confirmation that it was all over.

Completely agree although the circumstances are exceptional, the whole stadium was on a different planet after the goal. As much as sometimes there are things we reportedly shouldn't do people's emotions get the better of them. I've watched City over 40 years and I've never seen anything to match it emotionally and its the main reason for the pitch invasions.

The part that is going to go against the club is the harassment of Fleetwood players and Wild. The powers that be are not going to like that and may impose penalties above a fine

With the regulations as they are the fault and the club will be with the club as clubs are responsible for the behaviour of their fans in the FA regulations. I'd expect 1 arguement against the club will be opening up the front 3 rows which no doubt increased the likelihood of a pitch invasion. If the panel find that fans did confront Pete Wild and the Fleetwood players that will be another aggravating factor against us

Why? Did Wild or one of the players sustain an injury? I haven't heard anything to suggest it was anything more than high jinks and if that's the case, a fine is all it should be imo.

There is footage of fans in their faces. They have probably put in a complaint

Their manager commented on it, and with the cameras there I'd be surprised if it wasn't caught on one of them

Like I said, high jinks. It's not ideal but nobody got hurt.

I can't disagree with that but the club can only do so much. By all means target the supporters who misbehaved but what else can the club do?

I know what the regulations are, doesn't mean I agree with them. I know this is clearly lacking in today's society but what else could or can the clubs do in that situation? And I mean realistically when hundreds decide to invade the playing surface, albeit in a completely on off situation that will likely never happen again

I fully understand the absolute delight of the fans and even the invasion of the pitch but why get in the faces of the opposition I fear their actions are going to cost us
