Yes doubt he'll get his place back right away with the competition we have there, no ones taking Walkers place based on Saturday. I get what you mean about pace but i liked a lot of what I've seen in the couple of games I saw him. He'll be an asset and behind Smallwood he looks the most like captain material. Maybe he needs pace next to him, I said on another thread I'd like to see him and Walker together I think they'd compliment each other well

Has there ever been anything one way or the other about if he was sent off or not? The offical Match Centre on the Football League web site shows him as getting a red

 

He can't have been sent off unless he did something after the game as the match kicked back off with him on the pitch.

 

Looks like he was sent off, refused to leave the field of play, and his punishment (total) is 3 games and a £2500 fine.

 

Am I missing something? That seems to be Jatta rather than Sarcevic

I know it did but with everything going on it wouldn't surprise me if the ref didn't miscount. Just seems strange that all the news channels reported him getting red carded at the time, the EFL website has him sent off as well.

It would have to be confirmed he was sent off, they don't have to confirm that he wasn't.

That sounds like I'm being obtuse, I'm not, he wasn't sent off and completed the game.

Thats fine. Just find it weird that on all match reports including the official EFL one they have him getting a red card. You would think they would be accurate with that type of thing

 

Everyone assumed he got a red for taking his shirt off, in that bedlam the ref a) couldn’t find him, b) forgot as a result of the second round of bedlam, c) he was more interested in all players and his own welfare, d) his real focus was ending the game to time and getting the players off safely .

Totally understandable in the circumstances.

 

I doubt they would do it retrospectively. However we still haven’t heard a peep about the two pitch invasions?
