Even though we got a thrashing of Swansea in the league cup final the fans were brilliant. Magnificent defiance

 

Yes, the cheers when we finally got a corner deep in the 2nd half were the loudest of the day

 

I have never watched that game back but remember the game. Still think the referee should have held back with the red card

 

Those were the rules like it or not….Freelance referees arnt needed otherwise it would be a decision making lottery .

 

Never watched it either, as far as im concerned our cup final was the Villa and Northampton games

 

Same - never rewatched it; also, never looked back on the Reading FA Cup Q/F, that pissed me off…

 

I have had or do have profile games on tape, disc or digital and I never watch the losing games back….No point in bringing back losing memories

 

We don't need freelance refs to make a lottery, VAR seems to be doing a great job of that on its own!

 

Something we don’t benefit from , we just have the odd miscreant on the grass ..

 

Talking about play off finals does anyone know why the 3 play off games this Bank holiday weekend all kick off at 13:01 and 15:01 ?.

Sadly Parky got it wrong that day IMO. His team selection seemed based on sentiment which I didn't agree with. Davies and Reid sat on the bench...

 

Thats one of my biggest regrets as a City fan. Liddle hitting post, Davies skimming bar......year after they added extra time to QF ties. Think we would have taken it if a year earlier....

 

I have seen those kick off times for a number of days now and put it down to a typo! Doh, slaps head in shame.

 

I remember that playoff final well, as it was the day before I got out of hospital, a place I’d been for a month! A seemingly harmless throat infection led to sepsis, which shut down my body and I was in an induced coma for two weeks. Then came down with pneumonia! That game came at a time when I was over the worst, and my biggest fear was not being able to stream the game on my laptop which had been brought to me especially for the occasion. Fortunately I managed to watch it, and everything turned out fine! Almost bust my tracheostomy trying to shout when Wells scored. Morphine certainly heightened the match experience!

 

I had Sepsis, absolutely frightening , and if it wasn’t for a clever junior doc spotting the symptoms in Chelmsford A&E and a vacant bed I’d be a gonner. Thankfully caught in time , 24 hours later and untreated …likely death! . Only one remaining effect…deaf in one ear. A small price to pay . I was more than fortunate .

Be seriously aware folks , it kills 50,000 a YEAR!
