Why do we need duplicates of duplicates?

 

Its L1 football. You arent getting a player with Pointons talent, without his weakness's. They cost a bomb and play at a higher level.

You want someone who is stronger on the ball, they arent as technically sound or have a high football IQ.

Dobra aint happening. Cost a small fortune. But he would be a fantastic edition as he is one of L2s top players.

I agree. CB and CF are far more important. Im ok with our AM options. I really want Leigh to have a full pre season and a chance to prove he aint a dud. There is a player in there....his Accy numbers add up.

 

For me there are 2 midfielders who have been released who were very good in league 2 who we should be in for. Ali Smith who was on loan from Lincoln to afc wimbledon and tyrese fornah on loan from derby to Salford. Both big physical centre midfielders who would add to competition in centre of pitch. Both mid 20s so room to improve and have potential sell.on value

 

Rumour that Lewis Richards has turned down our new deal as he has championship interest.

 

Fair play to him if he can secure a club that high up. I'm not sure anyone can argue as we'd all do the same.

Hope he stays though, I think he's improving season on season and was excellent before the injury.

If I am totally honest I am not bothered either way yes a good player but very injury prone even before he joined city

Someone prepared to take a very large risk given his injuries record.
Personally think he owes us for the support he has had from the club, but that counts for SFA these days I suppose.

If we have an option, surely we trigger it and it is up to us then whether he stays or we sell?

 

The risk then if we do that is we have an unhappy player who doesn't want to be here which goes against a lot of what Alexander has said in the past. Someone might be interested in him as a free transfer but I'm not so sure if someone would pay a market value transfer fee. If we did decide to accept he is leaving then as he's under 24 and we've offered him a new deal we'd be entitled to some compensation albeit not a lot with him only being here 2 years.

I wouldn't be that shocked if there was Championship interest in him, he's a good age, got good potential and I doubt he would demand high wages.
