    All the pictures I’ve seen show the pitch is still down and wondered if anything was being done. It looked the best it’s been for years.

    What the weather been like up there ? We ain’t had rain in Anglia for weeks and weeks .
    I don’t recall ever the pitch not being scraped off to the roots and starting again?

    It's been bone dry for weeks. At the allotment our clay soil is cracking on the surface. Really difficult for new plants.

    The legends game this weekend has been scheduled for months. This had to take place after any potential play-off fixtures. Several inches of the pitch will be removed next week, fibre sand to go down and re-seeded.

    All to the tune of circa £100k.
