Quite early for the goalkeeper 'injury'.

Walsall are doing what I'd expect any team to do in their position and waste time where they can, if it was the other way around Paul Cook would be telling his players to do exactly the same.

Such a poor finish from the Walsall player, any height on that and it's a goal, really should be tie over after that chance.

    Awful side.

They can’t play nine at the back at Wembley . Matt hasn’t the legs!

Chesterfield are a joke. No urgency at all. I would take Dobra though, we should go all out for him. Great player in the lower leagues

It's becoming a problem with goalkeepers pretending to be injured. It's always when the opposition are getting on top,and it breaks up play, usually for several minutes. It's cheating,no other word for it.Sad to say,Sam Walker is one of the worst offenders. Not sure what can be done about it.Maybe if the ref made the goalkeeper leave the field for treatment, requiring an outfield player to put the gloves on would stop it.

Fine Walsall and kick them out of the playoffs for invading the pitch and throwing flares...

Walsall the only team in history to be promoted twice in the same season with a chance of a third unbelievable Jeff

The problem with football will always be that cheating is encouraged and rewarded. Making the goalkeeper go off would cause all kinds of issues with time taken for the change of shirt etc then for the goalkeeper to put it back on. The only real solution I can see is either an outfield player is nominated to go off for 30 seconds or the captain has to go off (vice captain if the goalkeeper is captain).

I would love GKs to go off the pitch like outfield players do for so called injuries, hardly any GKs would go down as they do now if that was the case

I was suggesting that if the goalkeeper thought he would have to go off,the practice might stop, but your idea has merit.

If the goalkeeper had to go off I think it would stop but then you'd have the issue of when goalkeepers get genuine injuries. The 30 seconds for outfield players is probably the right balance between being a deterrent but at the same time not punishing genuine injuries.

That will never work as injuries do happen. What the referee should do is ban players from going to the coach for instructions. If they do, every player gets a yellow card. Then the keeper has no reason to fake injury

Just stop players from going to the bench. Have a 20 yard exclusion zone to stop the manager giving instructions. It’s as clear as day that’s the reason keepers go down. Stop the momentum of the opposition and kill the game, or get new tactics from the manager.

Spot on….The Walsall cheat keeper was actually grinning at the crowd in the first leg . Just watch the physios , the first thing they do is give the keeper a drink , and then they pretend to “ feel” and alleged injury , the players all run to the sidelines , whilst the physios constantly look back towards the dug outs to see if the manager has finished. The keeper gets up and we restart , the ref adding on a minute for something that took three minutes. It’s beyond parody … It’s illegally making it a game of four quarters .

I don't know if it happened once or twice I bet GKs wouldn't go down so much.

The other option is like someone else said is the captain has to leave the pitch in his place that would stop it as well.

I do like your thinking though unless the ref gives permission for players to go to the dugout no player should be allowed to do so and bookings should follow.

From our point of view Walker did go down quite a few times as well so it's not like we haven't done likewise to what the Walsall keeper did last night.

Decent finish from Neufville to put Wimbledon 1-0 up.

This tie is over for Notts county with no McGoldrick or Jatta.
