I do but I haven't finalised it yet as its so clear its an Own Goal but I can't find any ruling for that whole round of games from the league officially ruling on who gets credited with the goal. Right now the official EFL site is saying Sarcevic scored but they are also convinced he got sent off as well

What has being sent off got to do with it? Even if he wasn't. All the records show it as a Sarcevic goal. Time to just go with the official result.

Still twiddling thumbs and whistling tunelessly whilst waiting.

Here is my problem. My data source has the scorer as Still Under Review. We have other data sources that are saying its Sarcevic's goal, others Lapsile and others an Own Goal. It's pretty clear from the footage though it's not Sarevic's but I've yet to see an angle that shows if the shot was on target or not.

Here are the tables based on each one

    Sarcevic

    Lapsile

    Own Goal

As far as these tables go it doesn't change things at the top 3 positions but it does further down. The problem however is for consistency I really need to use one data source over the whole season as I'm not comfortable picking an choosing as I could be impacting the result by choosing which source I'm using each game week so I would have to rerun every game week to make sure they are right. They might be the same apart from this goal but let's use the EFL's website as an example.

For this final game they have Sarcevic as the goal scorer BUT they also have him being sent off. The official list of players who are suspended for future games doesn't list Sarcevic but does other players who were sent off in that final game week. I've checked a sample of games across the season and this isn't the only match the EFL's website has inaccuracies from. It seems they aren't pulling from the leagues official data source, it seems they have their own database most likely with some intern entering the data hence why there is inaccuracies. Those differences might very well make a much bigger difference to the standing if I use these.
