I checked the stories when Richards and Kelly signed, as people had mentioned both has options in our favour in the contracts, and it wasn't mentioned for either of them

 

From what I heard Jon, I know rumour etc, it was the same money but spread over two years with appearance insensitive (can’t blame the club with his injury record). To me low balling would be overall lower money, but I guess we all see it differently. For whatever reason he saw Carlisle as a better option, an idea that aged like milk just as Mr Lewis. Most contracts have a promotion bonus and salary increase attached, so I recon Walker has probably actually lost out not that he could have know we’d get promoted. He wanted more money, the club weren’t prepared to do that, that’s within their rights imo. Players have plenty of power these days, with salaries and trying to force moves. I’ll save my sympathy for elsewhere but wish him well and good luck. I think his wife’s reference was more to his lack of game time despite being fit, when he came in early in the season I didn’t think he took his chance but had a few good games mid winter, think he got half of his assists in one game? For instance.

 

I agree it’s a bit demotivating but it’s football the club has to do what’s best for the club. But in my opinion he has comeback and not done enough for a regular place

 

If Hadi and Ibbitson have triggered 1 year deals its safe to assume they will be in and around the 1st team fringes to pad out the numbers. Unlikely either make it but both will get squad numbers next season.

I think Huntington gets a deal to be honest. He will be askd to prove himself over summer and GA seems to like him.

 

You put the club first and the player second. We wanted to keep him, we had the option to keep him so we did. No one forced him to sign the original contract. Like someone else said we didn’t freeze him out either. Handled it brilliantly if you ask me.

 

Wouldn't be surprised to see Carlisle offer Huntington a year in NL until he retires. Even still, there's a quality gap in that back 3.

Would have thought Ibbotson and Hadi train with us then try another local loan after the season starts, although it sounded like Hadi struggled at Liversedge and Ibbotson wasn't getting gametime at Guiseley so dont really know what their level is.

 

I dont think either make it at City but they are both 19 going on 20 now and had their contracts triggered. Club must be looking to use them in some form. Most likely 3rd choice keeper and 5th choice striker. May get pizza cup games next season.

If his surgery doesn't fix his shoulder issues then we should put ourselves in a position that is beneficial for the club

 

Key will be trying to get 3 or 4 of players still attached to us to move on, no easy feat.
They weren't really good enough for League 2 so they'll hardly be part of things in a higher division

Short on quality and numbers as well tbf so plenty of scope for incomings.

 

They've both been around the first team for a couple of seasons now and neither of them seem to have kicked on so I'm quite surprised they've had their contracts extended as I'm not sure what it is they offer. I think both of them should consider themselves very lucky.

 

I believe next season there’s a 6 second rule for goalkeepers.

 

I dont think we will have much problem moving them on - all got age on their side I suppose.....Smith maybe as imagine he on a decent whack but he has a bit of credit in the bank. His Barrow spell was ok by most accounts.

I said earlier we sold Kelleher and Osadebe, think we got a fee for Angol too so im not too worried.

 

Liverpool is one of the best teams in the world ,hardly self entitled .
