It certainly was on the cards if true. Again, decent in L2 but not 1. Perhaps too easy bullied by big forwards?

 

I'm gutted for him but it was clear that Alexander didn't fancy him towards the end.

It's a shame because he has a lot of attributes. Good distribution, quick., solid defender as well as just getting the club.

His link up play with Wright against Colchester was great.

I never really felt nervous when he played.

He'll be warmly received if he ever comes back to VP and I hope he gets another league club sorted ASAP.

 

Exact same as Byrne though. We now have 2 let’s be honest probably not even technically (passing/distribution) standard defenders as our 2 outside centre backs. Kelly is at least better than Byrne who couldn’t trap cement and It’s ok saying they won’t start and we will bring in reinforcements but they’ll have to if any reinforcements get injured.

 

A League 2 club is going to get a good ball playing centre half. Hopefully he can get back to playing week in week out and start the journey back up the leagues.

I wouldn't have been against him signing on as 2nd choice left centre back. Another one you wish nothing but the best for.

 

Jamie walker also now confirmed what was common knowledge anyway

 

Gutted to lose someone who lived the club and completely got what it was like to be at City in Jamie Walker. Someone who fully committed to the city and really loved the fans and club. As said above by others, sentiment is nice but progress is needed and he struggled to make the squad towards the end. Top man, loved his play, best for both parties to move onwards and upwards.

Sad Crichlow has gone, but not surprised. He had a few injury worries, missed games and GA had him in and out of the team. That said, if we have kept Huntington on instead I will be perplexed.

 

This was always going to be a sad tinge to such a fantastic end to the season. They seemed such a together group and that’s not easy to replicate. I was really pleased when we got Crichlow back you definitely got a sense, like Jamie Walker, he had a real feeling for the club. I suppose we have to trust the club and leaders who have to make the tough hard-headed decisions. It would be fantastic if all the squad could take us on into next season but we all know realistically that was never going to happen. Few more upsets tomorrow no doubt. Good luck to them all. We know they’ll be Bantams forever!!

 

I don’t think he achieved the same levels as the first time around. The same could be said of Wright who I wouldn’t be surprised to see leave as well.

I think so too. He’s not being played in the correct position and I don’t see him keeping Pointon or Lapslie out the team in a forward position. When he first arrived he said he loved going at defenders but I didn’t see that happen too often.

At least Walker and his family don't have to relocate with him going to Harrogate. Can stay settled in the area.

One thing for certain, he would probably be the highest earner there and they would need value for money but I can not see him getting a wage anywhere near what he has earned at City

 

This brought a lump to my throat. He is a class young man and obviously hurting because he has to leave.

 

Jamie's wife/partner on Instagram doesn't have anything nice to say about the current management at the club. She says he's was 'unfairly pulled down to rock bottom, personally & professionally'.
