He may have a long wait for a CC deal though and that’s my take. L1 for sure on a reduced income goes with the territory surely? Mind you he will have to get his partner to agree ;).?

She's got accustomed to the bright lights of Bristol now, not sure Bradford /Udders will have the same pull for her that it once did!

For me Wells (as we all should know) is not a lone striker, just like Kavanagh. In the two play off games I've not noticed anyone playing alongside him.
Now.....put a decent striker with him and you'll see a different player.

If he continued playing which even at 35 in June he looks in great shape it won't be at Championship level, so the two questions to ask would be would does Alexander fancy him at Valley Parade the second, could we afford his wages, he's openly said he'd love to return, then make him an offer, I'm with you (maybe sentimental) but I'd love Nahki back even for the one season to help establish us in League One.

Apparently she was the reason he was only ever going to sign for Town when he left City, although there were several clubs interested.

I've only ever been to Bristol to take in a game (Eastville Stadium) many years ago so not seen the bright lights your commenting on, obviously your comparing them to the bright lights of Bradford ;).

I don't know her back ground but it was common knowledge she wore the pants in that deal.

I think the Wells move would be smart. I think if you are looking towards long term, and if they think Kav is going to be the answer, it makes sense. Kav is still raw and needs to learn a lot to his game about awareness, positional play and his finishing is ropey at times too. Obviously some of that comes with age and gametime, but who better in the market for Kav to learn that style from, than Nahki Wells? Even for a year, his knowledge could be immense and help the young lad to no end.

Can definitely see a move for Matty Pearson now Crichlow has left the building. With Shepherd looking like playing a part at Barnsley our remaining centre backs are not league 1 standard and Pearson has a wealth of experience at that level. Wouldn't be surprised to see Huntington given another year, primarily due to his leadership role. When Smallwood was out it was evident there was a lack of leaders on the pitch. Can't see him being a starter but can see him as back up.

I’m not with you on this one RT, I will be shocked if Hunts is given another season tbh. Injured far too frequently for me , although I do agree he has leadership written all over him.
I can see him going on to managing a club.

He played in a 4231 at both Huddersfield and Bristol City, other than his relatively short spell with us he's played as a lone striker and at a higher level, I don't think he's had a bad career at it I think he'd disagree with you.

It's not something I'd personally go for but you can see the sort of players Alexander likes around the squad. Kinda excited about who we bring in now.

Only jesting as I know nothing about the place really other than an overnight stay years ago to break up the journey to Cornwall and actually, I don't remember the lights being any brighter there than here now I think about it!

So as things stand we have Halliday, Baldwin and Byrne under contract from our defence.

Decisions on Johnson, Richards, Kelly and Huntington.

Crichlow, Stubbs, Shepherd, Adaramola have all gone.

I fully expect both Kelly and Richards to get offers to continue at city Alexander is a big Kelly fan and Richards more than showed his capabilities when fit however we definitely need another in there now Tayo has gone back.

I guess Kelly and Richards will have a one year option on their deals from that old Sparks interview, so I guess we trigger those and give them a year to show if they can step up? Cant see Johnson or Huntington getting a deal.

Bristol 32 from promotion and 19 from relegation
And as you say 22 behind Sheffield in third
Sorry but they didn’t deserve promotion in any ones world
But got the opportunity, which shows the playoffs for exactly what they are
