I imagine the 24 year old from Barrow is a more realistic rumour. A lot cheaper and probably seen more as an understudy to Smallwood for next season if he stays, which I think he will.

Who's falling? The young lad from Barrow is being touted by a number of league 1 clubs and is still young. It could be an ideal move for him not to be pressured in his first season to be a linchpin.

 

Ledson is only 27, plenty of years left in the tank. He is proven and has some real quality. Dont think we sign him but he would be a bit of a marquee.

Campbell more realistic, and Im not against that one based on Barrow fans assesment.

Stop going through transfermarkt and looking at championship free agents you might pester on football manager. Any championship/Premier league players coming to us will be kids or has beens.

 

The gap between Championship wages and what we pay is colossal.

We have to get lucky to get high end L1/Championship players, like with Smallwood who came for geographical reasons.

We'll pick up a few decent signings, but otherwise yes, younger players and older players are more likely.

 

Looking at the league there are plenty of others in the same boat. We can hope that we can pick up a couple of shrewd signings and if we are to progress some really good loans
