That’s news to me Kevin and I worked there the season before the last one it was open
Nothing worked properly. I had to pour the chlorine in every night from 5 gallon drums before I left
It was bloody cold though

 

Im pretty sure it was . There was a spring that fed Heaton Reservoir , then it emerged to create the Lido ( of course filtered and as you say chlorinated) then the small waterfall to the lake in the park then I assume to the beck on Canal Rd .

As you say freezing .

 

We had days when only one customer would come in. An old guy first thing, who used to do about an hour swimming lengths
I also had to vac the leaves of the pool bottom before we opened every morning
The place was a mess
Another asset that Bradford council let fall into disrepair
